The team at MFL help me and my partner buy our first home a few weeks ago and we cannot rate them highly enough. I was a prospective purchaser of a property and have to say I was very underwhelmed by their actions. If I was the seller I would be angry. After viewing, no one phoned to discuss feedback. I was sent an email link to a feedback form that insisted I had to input all the details of the property! I’m a busy man, and don’t have that amount of time. A very bizarre way to run a business, maybe even an arrogant way? My house is going on to the market soon and I know exactly who I won’t be using. UPDATE- Thanks for the reply, however you have my phone number already! Both landline and mobile. This is the point. If you’d followed up my viewing with a phone call this review wouldn’t be needed. You keep emailing for feedback. I see the property is now going to a closing date, so assume you’ll feel it’s job done and my opinion is pointless. BTW you know who I am because we emailed you directly to tell you the link in the email was broken and to phone me instead. We even confirmed the number.

Fast and helpful service. I recently bought a property, and McEwan Fraser Legal were very helpful all the way along, offering advice on the purchasing process and making sure that the conveyancing process went along smoothly. I had the pleasure of dealing with Andrew Darcy and Magnus Moodie, and both were vey communicative and kept me abreast of everything that was going on. They were always happy to field any questions I had throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a property.

Photoshopped overpriced properties make sure you don’t use these guys at all costs , reported to trading standards , sold us a property in an appalling state , unfinished property , complete BS on every level *** update*** spoken to them after they asked for a call and they blamed the builder for the photos , proven to be photoshopped over holes and they still did nothing about it , they have their money and received a warning letter from trading standards which they ignored and declined to comment

I had a great experience buying my first home with McEwan Fraser Legal. My solicitor Natalie Allan was very efficient and helpful. She was available to answer questions any time of the day and always kept me up to date with all that was happening.

Without going in to all the details, I can only say that the level of incompetence I encountered from using MFL in selling my property and purchasing another (neither of which happened ultimately), was quite simply astounding. They managed to make what is already a highly stressful situation 10 times more stressful by being incapable of following though with actions they stated they would, or that I requested, and generally just providing a well bellow adequate service. For a start they provided a brochure that was so riddled with grammatical errors, and just generally did NOT actually SELL my property, that I actually had to rewrite the text myself...and that was just the start of the never-ending issues that cropped up. If MFL invested even half as much time & effort into marketing the properties of their clients as they do their own company, they might be half way to fulfilling their own advertising claims....choosing MFL was one of the worst financial decisions I have ever made. Edit: In response to the comment left by MFL - I submitted a detailed official complaint to MFL last year, which I received a response to at the end of last month. And I can assure you the response in no way resolved ANYTHING. It was a wholly biased report which skewed events (and was peppered with patronising and snide remarks), and did not take in to consideration the overarching premise of my complaint which was that the repeated errors, oversights etc that meant I was constantly having to monitor the work MFL should have been doing, caused me significant stress and ultimately the standard of service was grossly inadequate. I had waited to receive the response before posting any reviews as I believed that only to be fair, but now that I have received the response, and MFL are still accepting not accountability for the litany of errors, I will share my experience in the hope that others may avoid going through the additional stress of using an estate agency who are incompetent and provide substandard services.

In my many years of buying and selling residential and commercial properties, I thought it highly unlikely that I would initiate rating a credit control department. However, my dealings with Joanne Paget is the exception. Her consummate professionalism and excellent communication skills of transparency (and humour) made handling the matter of fees due rather enjoyable and agreeable. We reached a mutually acceptable payment plan and would thus recommend her highly and Mcewan Fraser as a company to handle property matters.

My husband and I just moved into our new home and it wouldn’t have happened as smoothly without McEwan Fraser Legal’s help. His excellent communication ensured that we felt supported every step of the (longer than we would have liked!) journey. We recently used McEwan Fraser Legal for both selling and buying. We were appointed Natalie Allan as our solicitor for both. Natalie was extremely professional, friendly, informative and approachable throughout, no query or question we had was too much and she provided us with all the required advice needed. We also had assistance from Ashleigh on a few occasions who also provided excellent service in Natalie’s absence. I would give Natalie 5 stars, but giving McEwan Fraser Legal 4 overall due to a few negative instances whilst getting our flat on the market with the photographer and admin assistant. However this appeared to be due to a reduction in staff due to lockdown. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this company and Natalie in particular for anyone looking for help with buying or selling property. Thanks again for all of you help!! Alex and Richard.
