You can yield the same (word by word) results by using the free chatGPT model. If you're not happy with paying £100 for that you will be assigned 'another writer' to, essentially, write your CV yourself. Try getting your money back... It's like talking to a tape recorder. Stay clear of this scam!

I had good CV to start with, formatted well. I did order of full remodel with linkedin and cover letter. I had CV back written in AI style. With sentences that are long winded and puzzle me as to what they mean not to mention possible employer. I asked for refund I have not downloaded the document and am using my existing CV there is no contact from company. They try to correct order that was very disappointing and I want to cancel it. It's no writers they use AI, nobody would write sentences like that if it went through human

After much effort on my part to try and get a refund due to the pathetic attempt to create my CV, TopCV could only offer me the opportunity to have a more senior writer to submit a second attempt to improve my experience. What a waste of time, guess what, they gave me the same writer as last time, Daniel who is atrocious! I think he is using AI for ease from his bedroom probably whilst playing his Xbox! The light touch changes and misuse of incorrect role titles that I don’t relate to was frequently used, when I pointed this out, he continued to use titles that didn’t represent me. Layout is the same as my original and I’m still waiting for the LinkedIn page refresh to be submitted but as it’s overs two weeks ago, I fear that once again TopCV have disappeared into virtual darkness. Good bye £219 what a waste of money, I hope the con merchants at TopCV who attempted to enjoy the meal that my subscription paid for, found it to be a light touch, AI generated poor experience and that you felt cheated out of my money. I paid for a cv review and got the worst version of CV I’ve seen in my life, the writer suggested in her draft to add things such as date of birth and marital status which is clearly not recommended, changed the description of tasks I performed which would caused me more work to correct all the wrong details rather than doing myself, apart from getting the resume hard to read and using AI to write certain bits. Tried to message TopCv and had only silence. My advise to everyone is please save your money, this is a trap

I received a fresh and new wording focused in my professional achievements. I also got few tips of what to add and not add in the CV. I liked the new CV layout. My interaction with the writer worked well. Generally speaking I am happy with the results.

TopCV redrafted my CV 10 months ago, and even then I had to complain to get a CV written that was comprehensible. Now 10 months later, I sent Jobleads the same CV they drafted with a different email address. Of course they suggested TopCV review my CV, who said it needs work on the words used as they are passive and the format has bullet points which isn’t good (job leads and topCv are the same company). When I pointed out they are negatively critiquing their own work the boss jumps in and says that a CV needs to be a living document and needs to be adjusted to the job market trends. Laughable - they just got caught out that they will always suggest your CV needs work, even if it’s a product of their own “professional services”! i suggest to stay away and deal with a local service provider that you can meet. Update: so after being caught out they now say “Rest assured, you possess a strong document that is well-equipped to excel in today's highly competitive job market” - how do they reconcile this with their assessment only days ago that “ for a professional with 28 years of experience, your CV undersells you”… Stay away from this unscrupulous outfit

The original review was very informative. However, I then elected to pay TopCV to rewrite my CV for me. It is obvious that the CV was run through Chat GPT. There were some, I thought, ridiculous statements and phrases. I was then requested "Make any changes or additions using boldface or a different font color so that I can find them or use the Track Changes." Essentially, the CV was produced by Chat GPT and I did the revisions on the CV. There is no point in paying TopCV for a service that is performed by Chat GPT and by yourself.

I had a fantastic initial experience with the CV review service, which truly helped me transform my CV from focusing on tasks to highlighting achievements. The feedback was detailed and insightful, and I felt it genuinely improved my CV. However, my experience took a downturn after the review. I was encouraged to reach out with any concerns or further questions, which I did. While I fully understood that additional CV reviews might not be free of charge, my inquiries regarding the critique went unanswered. Despite following up twice, I received no response, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. I would have appreciated clear communication that further assistance would require a paid service rather than being left without a reply. Additionally, I received an automated critique review that included information not present in the original CV, suggesting issues with the ATS compatibility of the template I used. When I reached out for clarification, I received a generic response that didn't address my concerns. A subsequent reply merely recommended a professional CV rewrite package, which wasn't what I was looking for. Overall, while the initial review was excellent, the lack of follow-up, unclear communication, and a focus on upselling left me disappointed. I’ve decided not to continue with the service and will seek alternatives instead.

I am appalled by the service I received from TopCV. I was offered 2 writers as I was dissatisfied with the first writer, but the second writer (who was supposed to be more experienced) sent me my CV in a totally incoherent form. It was messy and confusing, but when I asked for a full refund, I was told that their editorial team were satisfied that the CVs sent to me met their professional standards ! The fact that their service did not meet my professional standards didn't seem to come into the equation. I am disgusted by their attitude to my complaint and would advise you to stay away from them at all costs.

Bought the CV builder and initially had good contact with the writer. It's however more or less impossible to edit anything in your final document without whole formatting is affected (not looking professional). Also, you'd have some days together with your editor but be aware that it's typically 1-2 full days (in my case mostly 2 full days) before you get an answer. From there the writer needs to amend changes which again easily could take 1-2 full days. Not much when TopCV only gives you 5 days to edit with your writer.

I'm a language analyst and decided to put my CV through their analysis service to see what it would do. The result was clearly written by an AI, and made very little sense. It said I needed to introduce bullet points, even though I used them throughout. It suggested adding corporate cliches -- including hackneyed ableist ones -- even though my experience is in the disability and equality sector. It generally felt designed to agitate pain points rather than give meaningful help. I'm shocked FutureLearn have partnered with this company.

I’m giving 3 stars only based on the customer service response times. I would give NO stars on their CV writing abilities. The CV writing I found was appalling . They base their process on falsifying your CV credentials and experience purely to beat ATS. A future employer would absolutely not appreciate a false representation of a persons work experience to beat ATS / AI screening to bypass a job application process. Literally unbelievable and I can’t believe there is a company like this that exits. There are better ways of helping someone create CV using their actual work experience to tailor to the career position they want. There is no need to falsify an experience.
