The CV analysis they “personally wrote” for me got an 89% match in an AI checker. They also likely use AI to generate CVs in their paid packages which claim to be human-written (£129–250 btw), which is obviously a massive waste as you could use chatgpt to do it yourself in an hour. The fuel they get for their AI database is from the “free CV analysis” service, they actually disclose this in the T&C’s (they are using your CV to feed their ai which they then use to scam you). I would avoid.

Not sure in the beginning, immediately I was stoked on the effective way, the team guided me to a better CV. Getting a perspective I never thought about, it shaped a totally different style of presenting my personal life. And also, seeing the way of thinking and writing, it opens my view on recruiting in future as well.

Do not use this service if you live in the UK. The writers might be ok in the US, but the basics of how things are done in the UK are simply not observed. TopCV refused to refund me after my first writer, the 2nd one is not much better and apparently one of their best. Don't waste your money. TopCV should check out the Consumer Rights Act 2015 too.

Total Scam. Avoid always. AI written work full of clichéd buzzword, formatting and grammar errors. bad communication. Lack of after sales support. Zero responsibility. Updated 24th September 2024. After raising a complaint on the quality of work multiple times the company offered a "free re-write" as the "interview guarantee" failed to materialize. Under the re-write a short questionnaire was provided asking on the types of jobs applied and types of rejections. A new writer was assigned and then: The literal first draft was reshared, this time on a new template. Complete with same errors, mistakes, formatting and grammatical faults. As per online CV scorer like ResumeWorded, TopCV downgraded my CV score from 74 to 49.

For people looking for a job, either due to being unemployed or looking to move. To odacity of charging £89 to give you a so called CV. If this was free/ reasonable fee I would consider. Clearly aimed only for high earners. Not everyone can afford such a charge, more so now with cost of living

Die Tipps hinsichtlich LinkedIN sind in Ordnung, aber auch hier gilt: was der Schreiber auf der anderen Seite nicht versteht, wird weder hinterfragt noch zur Diskussion gestellt. Avoid under all circumstances. The "analysis" is AI-generated while suggesting that it has been conducted by an individual expert. CV wurde kaum/gar nicht abgeändert, Formulierung passt überhaupt nicht zu dem gesuchten Job, der vorab festgelegt wurde. Formatierung ist eine Katastrophe!! 100€ für die Tonne!

I am really not happy with TopCv as I was expecting multi-able Cv's as I would be applying for different jobs. Imagine my surprise that that was not the case. I was off with Covid for two weeks so I did not get to approve my Cv. I request that as I had not approved my Cv that I want it to reflex driving job Isha refused to accommodate me tell me that she had done my Cv. I am absolutely disgusted with service that I have received for a reduced price of £100 If you are thinking of using a Cv company I would recommend that you do not use TopCv.

I was promised that they will rewrite my CV after 2 months if I don't get any interviews. I have been sending emails trying to contact both the sales person and the person who wrote my CV but haven't heard back anything still. They are scam!

Don’t waist your money. This company is a con! I paid £219 for the top package thinking that my CV would get a full overhaul along with my LinkedIn page. Outcome was a very light touch with minimal changes, they expect you to do a lot of the work and the timeline they take to do the the job is delayed then they cut you off if you don’t reply promptly!, I’m a UK resident and all of the rewriting was completed in American English using Z’s and not S’s, poor attention to detail! I still don’t have a finished item, so I’ve paid for an unfinished job! I’ve asked for a refund in full or part and they don’t give you any money back, they say all transactions are final! Rubbish!! Absolute Sham, I could have used AI for free and got a better outcome. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wish I had read the reviews but due to LinkedIn endorsing TopCV when you apply for advertised roles I put trust in them. How foolish was I. Con merchants who have zero customer service values!

Sent my CV off for a free review and received a fairly helpful response back within 24 hours. This is why they got 3 stars. At the bottom of the email, it said "Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or for more information on our professional CV-writing services." So I replied with my new CV, which I had updated following the reviewer's advice and asked him to expand on a couple of his suggestions e.g. asking him what he meant by "The size and type of bullets should also be taken into account." and what size and type exactly he would recommend. He replied, saying he's limited to 1 review per client but I could pay €129 for a full review and re-write. Yet again, he signed off with "Feel free to email me with any questions, or to simply share your thoughts on the matter." which is exactly what I'd done and he replied with the paywall! Now, I realise I may have been naive to think the service would remain free but I object to the language telling you to "feel free to reach out with questions" when they won't respond unless you pay for one of their packages. They don't even guarantee results. Some of the (more expensive) packages pledge a free 2nd rewrite (note this is NOT the same as a refund!) if you don't get 2x the number of interviews within 60 days!! SIXTY days! They obviously don't have a lot of faith in their own services if they're not willing to refund you if you don't get results sooner than that and I would question if they're doing a great job the 1st time round if they think a "2nd rewrite" would help! When I re-read his original review, it also seemed generic in places like it came from a template e.g. he advised me to remove the start and end dates of my university years to avoid ageism but they weren't even on my CV, so this was obviously a copy / paste from somewhere else. Reading some of the reviews on here, I gather that results are mixed, so I don't think I'll be investing the €129 for a full rewrite just yet. Even if their services are genuine and worth the money, they're great at making it sound like a scam.

They have expert writers, that are alternately to instructions. I appreciate their work.

It has been 10 years since I needed to start the process of applying for a new job - I was struggling with a re-write that would be interesting to prospective employers.
