Used resume.io to create a CV using their available templates. Followed the streamlined step by step process filling out all the fields that in the end resulted in my CV that I can download. Before downloading it, the platform asked me if I wanted a professional writer from TopCV to review it and promptly I accepted the offer. Well, one day later I get an email form one of the reviewers stating that she couldn’t review my CV because she couldn’t scan it using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for relevant phrases, keywords, and experiences to determine my strength as a candidate. The reviewer also wrote that if she can’t scan it no employer will either. I replied asking what I should do as this was the first time I was using resume.io and maybe I had skipped a key step during the process. The reviewer replied asking me to seek support from the platform team. So, I decided to send an email to contact at topCV.com and the answer was that if no scanning a CV had happened successfully that I should rewrite my CV. What an “awesome” support from TopCV!!! Not good for a paid service. So, if we follow the platform’s process to create a CV and this platform offers a review, but the reviewer can’t scan the CV, why should I use this platform in the first place??? Fresh information from TopCV team helpdesk today (02/11/2025). Something that is not clearly called out by the resume.io website nor from the TopCV professional writers is that ATS-friendly templates are only available in Brussels, Athens, Prague, and Shanghai. Each is designed to seamlessly integrate with Applicant Tracking Systems, enhancing the job application process. In summary, if you're not creating from a friendly template, you're not going to get a resume that is integrated with ATS. Glad I cancelled my paid subscription.

Complete SCAM, Avoid! All done with AI and they use fake names and all operated out of Vietnam. Check LinkedIn and see who works there. There is no record of ‘Rebecca Mills’ working there. The end result was way worse than what I already had. Save yourself the money and time and use the free resources on YouTube. If you do decide to use it, use PayPal so you can get your money back

Received a CV that appeared to be written by AI - so I may as well have asked Chat GPT to write my CV for free. The formatting of the document received is very fiddly, so if you try to edit or update your new CV expect a headache. Four months on, the new CV has not resulted in a single interview.

I was referred to TopCV by a friend with two comments, that I am putting forward for every one else: 1. The final result was great and they definitely picked up things that I never had. 2. They are real quick. Living in Australia, where everything takes forever, having the first draft within a couple of days and the final documents another 2 days later, was truly amazing.

This company is a complete scam they are grifting the general public. My CV was written in American English, what looked like AI garbage produced in 5 mins with a template that was not fit for the UK market. Not to mention it had a picture box which the UK does not have. I actually do not know how they continue to get away with ripping people off, but please please steer clear from this company. You are wasting time and money, and they will not offer even a partial-refundat any point. I will do my best now to take it to them legally, merely out of principle to stop them ripping other people off.

I signed up for my CV and LinkedIn profiles to be improved. Before the day was out a writer had been assigned to my work and the first draft was available early the next morning. It was a huge improvement on what I had sent them and needed just a couple of clarifications. I had a second draft back from them by lunchtime! The suggestions for updating my LinkedIn profile were thorough and once made I had more confidence to apply for a few more jobs. Within a day I started getting called for interviews! TopCV seems to me to be money well spent.
