Bought a used engine for a Ford Focus. Delivered within 1-3 days. Came as described, in full working order as it has been tested and verified. Didn’t have any issues at all. Price was very reasonable and cheapest compared to other quotes received. Will definitely buy from Ford Bits again in the future.

I am going to write a review purely because I have been disappointed by the service. I originally bought a spare alloy wheel and tyre from fordbits for a great price on the 12th of July. I did not receive any tracking details and was told on the phone it would be with me in a 'couple of days.' I called multiple times 3-4 days afterwards - as I had been having to take a taxi to work, and wanted to know when it would arrive. They said they would inform me and let me know once the couriers replied. I had to call 8 days after purchase for me to be told that the courriers have somehow misplaced this item. Fine, these things happen (especially by the sounds of these reviews), I was disappointed however that they knew this information when I had called purely just by giving my name, but did not feel the need to call and inform me themselves. They asked I wait for 2 days afterwards, so that sufficient time had passed so I could claim a refund. 3 days passed, I was told by someone in the office they were aware and that they will process the refund and it should be in my account within 7 working days. 10 -12 working days pass, I call the company again, asking, to make sure if the refund was definitely processed, as I have not received any email confirmation or anything in my account. They assured me they had, and it must have gone to my 'junk mail.' I receive an email later that day, from paypal that a refund had been requested... that day. I am writing this review purely because of the customer service, I have been disappointed that I was left constantly chasing for confirmation of delivery, that when they realised it was lost they waited for me to call again, and when I asked for a refund, and blindly trusted they would process this, they clearly had forgotten and it took me calling again once the '7 working days' had passed. I even waited a little longer, thinking in good faith, it was just taking longer than expected. I was disappointed that the order went missing - I am aware this is not their fault, however, the communication afterwards has been very disappointed. This resulted in my paying for a taxi for nearly 2 weeks, until I realised that my order was never going to arrive. Edit to reply: you told me to call 2 days after so that it could officially be recorded as missing so that you can claim a refund from the courier. I called 2 days later, as per the time frame you asked me to, not earlier. I never ‘demanded’ a refund, i asked politely could it be processed because I was entitled to it? Having paid for a product I couldn’t receive. I’ve not been petty in my review, and I was always kind on the phone and never raised my voice, and I always gave ample time before I called again and enquired. This was just an honest review of what happened. I was also not given any tracking details as I ordered this via 1stChoice, tracking details was not provided. I am also not blaming the missing product, things happen. It is the fact I asked for refund, told it would happen… it did not, had to chase 7 days later to find out it hadn’t been processed.

avoid using ford-bits, they have zero customer service with regards refunds for wrong supply of goods.

I needed a n/s mirror for a Focus CC. Found one via eBay. Contacted them and they were most helpful, so I ordered one. Was with me very quickly, and fitted perfectly. 100% happy with Fordbits, and will happily use again

Bonnet received was damaged… even although they assured me there was no damage on it. Company denied this and tried to blame me for not opening and checking it on receipt. I hadn’t opened it because wanted to transfer to body shop for fitting still fully wrapped. Body shop immediately informed me if damage but Ford bits were rude and obnoxious. Sent picture of damage as requested but have now been completely ignored. DO NOT buy online from this company!!

Not an easy company to deal with when things go wrong, because at that point, my experience shows Ford Bits’ default is to blame the customer. If Ford Bits were half as willing to communicate with customers properly as they are to criticise, berate and abuse, then they would have a well-run business, but as things stand, Ford Bits really should try harder to keep customers informed of what is going on. At least I paid via PayPal whose resolution process found Ford Bits to have failed in their obligations and I received a full refund. Ford Bit's response is no less than I anticipated and just serves to prove my point about the kind of response you can expect from them.

The part quoted (rear light for a Mondeo mk4) by Fordbits was exactly the right part I was looking for. It was delivered the next day and even included the light bulb. Good condition and in working order. I would use Fordbits again
