What a brilliant little kit to repair a chip on paintwork. Spot on match and so easy to do. Follow the instructions and all will go well. Will be my go to in the future for touch up paint. Miles ahead of anything I’ve used in the past.

Firstly, website is intuitive and easy to use. Ordering was quick and easy. However, it was just over 2 weeks before we received the product. We were advised it was shipped with a tracking number, but there was no updates and it appeared Royal Mail never received it. After several emails another one was shipped, 2 weeks later, and we received it the day after. Once we received the product, we found it of good quality and easy to follow instructions. All paint chips have vanished. Would have given 5 stars if not for the delay in delivery.

First of all, I’m really pleased with using Chipex. It’s more expensive, but definitely worth it. My main tip is to say be patient, I had a really deep chip and I had to layer the paint about six times before it started looking good. Take your time and be ready to redo it several times. The instructions say to wait 5 minutes, but I found if you left it more like 15 minutes it came out better,

I really like this product. I have a car with a specialised two coat paint. The paints that came were an exact match. The instructions were easy to follow and, provided you are gentle and take your time, easy to follow. Overall excellent.

I found it quite difficult to apply and it left a bit of a ridge on the existing paint work .

Was most disappointed after opening the box and reading the instructions to find this at the very end: 'Please do note that you will get colour variation with various metallic paints from different angles (especially silver) as this is due to the metallic flakes within the paint'. Guess what? My car is metallic silver. Would have been good to know this before purchasing, but then I probably wouldn't have purchased and Chipex wouldn't have got any money - but they would have got a bit of goodwill. Final result was no different to that using touch-up paint bought from Halfords for less than half the price. With so many cars out there with metallic paintwork surely such important information should have been available before purchase.

The Chipex kit is easy to use, the colour match was absolutely perfect, so top marks there!!. The results were very good, especially from distance, although despite following the instructions, in my experience it did not create the near flawless repair the advert would lead us to believe. After several attempts, on close inspection, I can still see where the stone chip was. The applicator is great and the clear coat added to the paint is excellent, however when I used the flattening solution, it just removed the paint altogether, and I had to start again. Chipex is certainly not cheap, is it worth the price?. In my experience it wasn’t, I have previously achieved similar results with the manufacturers factory touch up kits costing much less.

I used ChipEx Touchup Paint on my new Tesla Model Y Red. The paint was expensive but worth it as it produced a nearly flawless finish.

Easy to work with

Brought this for my reflex silver mk5 golf r32 as I had chip on the bonnet however the colour doesn't match it's to dark I'm somewhat disappointed as this kit isn't cheap I feel I've wasted £30+ pounds This kit you receive is nice but the colour was a let down for me

Used Chipex on a deep blue metallic Tesla Model 3. Perfect colour match to the car. Took a few attempts to get good results, I eventually found using the blending solution after 2 minutes or so better than the 5 I was initially doing. Used on a few shallow chips which are now not visible, on a few deeper chips you can see a slight mark on close inspection but I doubt anybody but myself would notice/care. Definitely better than the cheaper alternatives I have used in the past, just take your time and use a few layers.

Bought a kit for my Smart Fortwo Brabus. I’ve tried other ‘touch ups’ and been disappointed. The chipex kit is easy to use and the results have been great - very much recommended.
