Very bad service - placed an order and got no shipping update so I chased and was promised it was sent and would be with me in 4-7 days. Time passed, and I had to chase again 10 days later - only to be told the order hadn't actually been sent as they are out of stock. The merchant did not tell me this at the point of order, nor were they honest in their update/answer. Finally, after realising my item would never be shipped, they did not even offer an alternative or compensation for this. Would definitely never order from them again.

A shop that has really got their e-commerce completely nailed from purchase through to delivery. Very impressive, was kept in touch at every step of the way, and a nice follow up email once I’d received my package inviting me to take part in their loyalty scheme. Whoever writes their copy has got it spot on. And did smile at the sender of the email: it might well be that there is someone who works at Fawkes called Guy, but I suspect it’s just a nice touch.
