Project Solar UK have been a pleasure to deal with. The communications have been prompt and clear and they are contactable if you have any queries. The installers were punctually and professional and carried out a high quality installation. Overall very pleased with their service. Would recommend.

Not impressed. Salesman came round to do survey and provide a quote which was considerably more than we were expecting. He asked what I thought - when I started to say how I would like some time to think and explain why, he abruptly cut me off and asked my partner what he thought. I was very offended and got up and walked away. My partner proceeded to answer him that he echoed everything I had just said. The salesman then seemed to change demeanour. He made us feel like he’d be doing us a favour if he stayed another 20 minutes to do photos (we told him no, we didn’t want this done that day), and presumed that we wanted a credit check done and said he would proceed to arrange this (again, we said no, please do not do this). He was also patronising towards me throughout his talk, asking that I say “yes” after he’d explained each of his slides so he knew I understood. Not a good experience at all. To make matters worse, ever since then, my partner (who arranged the survey) has had calls from various different numbers, all of whom hang up after about 5 seconds - he called these numbers from another phone and they were all this company. He has now phoned the main company phone number to ask that they remove his number from their database, so hopefully they have now done this.

After deciding we wanted to make an investment in solar power we looked at various companies to give us advice and quotations, Project Solar came out as the one we wanted to use. After our initial enquiry an appointment was quickly arranged with their sales representative who came to see us at a time to suit us, he was thorough in the way he explained everything to us and measured our roof to see what could be fitted he spent a good two hours with us an left us with a clear understanding of what we should expect and get. Once the quote was agreed a date for fitting was arranged and on time two workmen arrived with all the materials, after fitting the solar and the electrical items it was explained to us what everything was and what it was for, the workers were very polite and did a great job leaving our house clean and tidy. Upon completion we received all the relevant paperwork for all the various warranties for materials and workmanship. We have had the solar for four months and can already see how much we are saving on our electricity bill. We would recommend Project Solar as they did exactly what they said they would with no hassle, a proper professional company.

This a great experience with project solar UK , the engineers were so professional, good time management observed. @Brat Holton, i do appreciate your level of your professionalism, clear communication to details and easy to understand all the steps with no confusion at all. Also, thanks to Robert Gibbs the salesperson, nice doing business with you all.

We were thinking solar panels and James came to do our consultation. It was a no brainer really so we went ahead. It was a small deposit and now monthly payments which will be off set by the reduction in electricity bills and any money we receive from the extra that goes to the grid. Scaffolding went up on day one and solar panels etc all completed on day two. I've taken a star off as the scaffolding has not been taken down so I would suggest you agree that if you go ahead. The app is good as you can see what you are producing and how much you've earned.

The sales representative Larry was very charismatic, super friendly and fundamental in our decision to implement solar panels and select project solar to provide the solution. Larry provided all the right information and guidance for an informed decision. The installation team of project solar, Derek,Christopher and Jack were all very professional, very efficient and effective with their work ethic, while answering all our questions with a smile and friendly manner. Whole process has been handled very quickly from start to installation. All contractors have been very helpful, polite, clean and efficient. No complaints at all. I would recommend them.

I recently had solar panels installed by Project Solar, and overall, my experience was positive. The entire process was smooth, and their communication was excellent. They kept me informed at every stage, which made things stress-free. The installation team arrived on time and did a great job setting up the system. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. During the installation, I noticed some shouting and swearing from the team. I kindly asked them to keep the noise level down and be mindful of their language, and they were understanding and adjusted their behavior. They also played loud music while working, which didn’t personally bother me, but it might have been disruptive for my neighbors. Additionally, after the installation, they cleaned the area, but it was done in a rush and not as thoroughly as I would have expected. A bit more attention to detail in this regard would be appreciated. Despite these minor issues, the company overall did a great job, and I’m happy with the results. I would definitely recommend them for their quality work and great communication!

Chap who came round was informative and answered all our questions. Had a little set back when things changed and we did not get informed before they changed it but all got sorted out with a call. I had to call them about chaps putting up scaffolding. As had not hurt. Chaps came to Install and were on time and helpfull cleaned up after installation. Just now waiting to get a call to arrange for scaffolding to be taken down

BEWARE! I spent a considerable amount of time discussing and planning the system which was imbedded in a long draft contract that I was happy with. They then sent a further surveyor out who tweaked the layout and implied it made no material difference, saying I had to sign before he left the premises. Alarm bells but after much reassurance , I did. Thank goodness for the 14day cooling off period , when I was sent the revised document, it was over 50% worse payback than originally agreed! I then struggled to recover the deposit , receiving a comment from their resolutions team that I had cancelled the contract so they were under no obligation to refund me within the two week period. REALLY?! Since changing solar panel advisor/supplier I have learnt so much more!

From start to finish we were kept updated on what was going on. There was no pressure put on us at the initial meeting. Everything was very clearly explsined

Deeply disappointed. We were genuinely excited by what the salesperson told us — it all sounded too good to be true… and sadly, it was. After reviewing the actual terms and conditions, we were shocked to discover that much of what we’d been told simply wasn’t accurate. Even worse, the salesperson openly admitted they hadn’t read the contract themselves and had only been trained to repeat the company’s hype — not the legal reality of what customers are actually protected by. It’s incredibly misleading, and honestly, quite disturbing for a company selling long-term investments like solar panels. Shocking experience. Be cautious and read everything before you sign. We were offered a system by Project Solar UK and told it came with a “99-year UK-based lifetime warranty” on both the panels and the inverter. It was positioned as their unique selling point — total peace of mind, with Project Solar handling everything if something went wrong. But when we asked for the warranty documents and looked at the actual terms, the story changed completely. The warranty is not backed by Project Solar UK at all — it’s from the Chinese manufacturer (Perlight). Project Solar’s own terms say they are not the provider of the warranty and only “assist” with claims. That means if there’s a fault, Project Solar UK have no obligation to help get it sorted, plus you're still going to be liable for all costs for importing replacement panels to the UK, labour and testing. If you have an issue with the manufacturer, you have to operate under Chinese law, and even pay for items to be tested in international labs. Their own T&Cs state: “Project Solar is not the manufacturer of the panels. It is not the provider of the warranty. We will help process any claims, but the warranty is the responsibility of the manufacturer.” I'm literally gobsmacked!!! Even worse, the so-called ‘lifetime’ warranty: • Doesn’t cover removal, shipping panels from China, or reinstallation and testing of faulty panels • You could still be dealing with warranty paperwork, parts delays, or manufacturer rejections — with no legal guarantee that Project Solar will cover costs. • Requires professional cleaning every year, or it could be void (this is CRAZY as the salesman sold the idea that they are self cleaning - if I'd believed that and a year had passed, I'd literally have no warranty!!!) • Only guarantees power output for 25 years — not 99 • Doesn’t cover labour, testing, or any loss of revenue Plus they massively oversell the their 10 year 'workmanship warranty', the salesman even described a scenario where a faulty roof was replaced for free for a customer when in reality if was already worn. The T&Cs reveal that in reality it only covers defective installation, and they make clear it's limited to faults not caused by wear and tear, incorrect use, or external factors (clause 20). So what was sold as “UK-based peace of mind” turned out to be a heavily caveated, overseas manufacturer’s warranty with many exclusions and hidden costs. To add to that, the system was much more expensive than quotes we got elsewhere, and when we raised questions about price or warranty clarity, there was no flexibility. The savings figures in the proposal also relied on very optimistic assumptions — including 7% annual energy price inflation and no unexpected maintenance costs. UPDATE - THEY RESPONDED TO MY CONCERNS WITH MORE INCORRECT STATEMENTS: • They claim there’s a 99-year “UK-based lifetime warranty.” But the documents show the warranty is from Perlight, a Chinese manufacturer — not legally backed by Project Solar UK. • They claim Project Solar will cover removal, shipping, and reinstallation if there’s a fault. But the documents show you are responsible for all these costs under the Perlight warranty. • They claim there’s a £325 labour fee that gets refunded if it’s a genuine product fault. But the documents show no mention of this policy — it’s not formally documented. • They claim you’ll be supported even if the company stops trading. But the documents show any protection via HIES or your finance provider is limited and not a substitute for the manufacturer’s warranty.

Project Solar did the installation of our solar panels last month and it has been great. The system works very well and wish we had taken the decision sooner. The installation was very good. it was done in the same day and the guys were very tidy and helpful. The contract part was also very easy and fast. Larry has been supporting us all through the process and resolve any hiccups along the way. The only improvement point is the financing part and it would be good if they could offer better options. Other than that is a 10 out of 10 from me

From start to finish the experience has been Amazing. G come round showed us the data on 17.03.2025 and that was our mind made up, he didn't need to sell these to us, and he honestly doesn't the numbers speak for themselves. They was fully installed today and the guys fitting them was lovely, respectful, tidy and friendly. Honestly we have had 5* from the start. I will recommend these to everyone. A fantastic experience! The products are excellent as everyone knows, but the team behind it all are great as well. Outstanding Comms throughout the process, courteous and professional engineers doing the installation, and the app to monitor the system is really good! The panels are working well and actually look really sleek and modern... Best thing we've done to the house so far!
