I have been badgered into writing a TrustPilot review by TravelNation. I do not personally use - or trust - these 'user' reviews as good ones can be bought & sold openly on the web. However here is my review. Overall I am happy with the service - I ordered Round the World flight tickets and Lily was helpful, pleasant, and got me the tickets at quite a good price. Five stars so far, but for one crucial error. I initially contacted TravelNation specifying a set of dates and destinations, and received a response from the company (not Lily). She then contacted me with firm prices and dates which I agreed. Crucially, between my initial contact and Lily taking over my order, the MONTH of a secondary flight - but not the date - was mis-typed. I did not notice this, as the dates all tallied as I scanned the numbers. After the tickets had been issued I went through flights line-by-line and discovered that instead of my 3rd flight on May 8th I was booked on APRIL 8th - all other dates being correct. I contacted Lily with this mistake and, to her credit she corrected it within hours. Unfortunately the airline charged £150 for this alteration and Lily apologetically asked me for this extra. I pointed out that, although it was my fault for not spotting their error, it WAS their error. She agreed to go halves on the extra charge, which I accepted. I still feel a little hard-done by though I accept I should have picked up their error earlier, and it clearly was their error: my initial email specified the correct dates. I feel inclined to use them again (or at least ask them to quote...) though I shall be more vigilant next time. This IS a genuine review - as you can probably tell - but my unease at TrustPilot reviews remains

Excellent Advice and support during booking process still to travel

Thanks to Chris West for an excellent job with our Aus/NZ itinerary. Very helpful, and flexible when I messed up the choice of one of the hotels. Godd selection of B&B, hotel, resort. I found it was worth going direct for car hire in NZ; not a critcism of Travel Nation as they are focused on the big global players (Avis etc) Avis were fine for Aus, but Apex just as good, cheaper and more flexible in NZ (they offer trans Cook Strait in same car; big players want you to change and go on foot; not good with bags to carry).

Second time we have used Travel Nation! They are a great company and came back with great flights for a great price. They are professional, helpful, quick to respond and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thank you!

We have just returned from a two month tour of Australia calling at Hong Kong on the way out and Singapore on our return. I can confirm that our initial confidence in Travel Nation and Chris West in particular was well founded (my previous review was completed before we travelled). All flights, vehicle hire, hotels and transfers were completed without a singe hitch. Chris's advice and guidance on the trip also proved to be absolutely spot on and we had an unbelievable time.
