I have been under the care of Mr Say Aun Quah for quite a number of years. In the past, he has performed successful corneal transplants in both of my eyes, yielding exceptional results and making an amazing difference to my life. Recently, I had lens replacement surgery at The Wilmslow Hospital carried out by Mr Quah and his team. I certainly felt that that I was safe in his capable hands. The clarity of vision I experienced after removing the dressings the following morning is going to stay with me for ever. I cannot thank Mr Quah enough for his proffessionalism, skill and dedication.

Mr Quah’s professional demeanour lightened by a touch of humour now and then inspires confidence and trust. Vital when one contemplates surgery to ones eyes and to keep morale up when the unexpected occurs, such as the allergic reaction I had to the preservative in drops post surgery and the turning in of an eyelid. Although warned that complications can occur one doesn't expect them but Mr Quah dealt with each in turn successfully and retained my confidence that he would. The result has been a restoration of a high quality of vision across a depth of field much better than I expected so glasses are unnecessary.

To begin with, I was anxious at the prospect of surgery to remove my cataracts under local anaesthesia and was not looking forward to the experience. However from my first appointment with Mr Goel through to follow-up following surgery, he instilled confidence that the process and procedure would be meticulously planned and conducted with precision. I first went and saw Dr Quah several years ago where he was carrying out procedures on my parents. I had seen someone previously who had recommended laser eye surgery but upon reviewing my eyes and prescription, Dr Quah quickly told me he would not operate on me as it would not be appropriate until my prescription settles and my pupils reduced over time thus turning away a potential £4,000 punter. I have been back to Dr Quah and he recommended Implantable Contact Lenses as my prescription had settled but my pupils were too large for laser. I had the procedure done 4 weeks ago and within 16 hours of the procedure I could see perfectly out of my rectified eyes. The procedure was pain free despite the way it sounds and the team at Wilmslow Hospital such as Tracey and Helen were fantastic. I could not recommend Say Aun any more and have told my friends with similar issues to myself to consider this procedure. I attended the centre to have my vision checked. The whole experience was very good from reception to seeing my eye consultant Mr Say Aun Qhah. Mr Qhah checked out my eyes and found everything was good. He was very reassuring and as always kind and very professional. An excellent experience.

I felt that my eyes were in safe hands with Mr Goel right from the outset. During our initial consultation, he took time to explain to me the pros and cons of the various options open to me, was happy to answer all my questions, and put me at ease with regard to his recommendation to correct my vision – lens replacement surgery, which would address both my mild hyperopia and advancing presbyopia. After a week of consideration, I decided to go ahead, and my surgery was arranged within 2 weeks. The procedure itself was a breeze – completely pain free, and quick to recover from. Now 10 days post-op, my vision is simply stunning. I can work glasses free in front of a computer screen, and am enjoying the far-field clarity. I cannot recommend Mr Goel more highly – he’s everything a surgeon should be: caring, personable, very knowledgeable in his field, skilful and thorough.

Mr Say Aun Quah has performed Cataract surgery on me and my father . I now have multi focal lenses which means I can now ditch the reading glasses that I’ve needed for 20 years now. Bonus! His expertise and ongoing care is exemplary. My dad’s vision was extremely poor. He had been told previously that surgery was not an option, but as Mr Quah said, he really had nothing to lose by having cataract surgery. The day after his first operation, my dad had perfect vision in that eye. I will never be able to thank Mr Quah enough for restoring my dad’s vision. It transformed his quality of life in his last few years. He could read, watch television and see his great grandchildren for the first time!

I needed cataract surgery asap. Mr Goel was able to invite me in while locally there was a long waiting list. I was dealt with courteously by all staff and especially so by Mr Goel. The treatment was performed efficiently and I was confident that Mr Goel would perform the surgery satisfactorily. Which was indeed the case. The result of the eye test after surgery was completed was 20:20 vision with no problems. The optician actually commented that she would be delighted with the results of the surgery - as indeed I am. I would recommend Mr Goel for cataract surgery.

The cataract surgery on my left eye was very successful. My vision is now much better, in particular, colours are more vibrant. It has been a great success.

Very professional great after care the staff are always available to take any questions at anytime

After very successful cataract surgery I 2017 I developed some scarring on both eyes. The surgeon used laser treatment to remove this with immediate effect. I can now see clearly and only need glasses for close work. I cannot rate this surgeon and his team highly enough.
