My vision had deteriorated owing to a common post cataract surgery condition called PCO. This had been picked up at my opticians.I was referred by my GP for treatment with Mr.Goel who confirmed the problem.He advised me that a YAG laser procedure was required.I had the procedure the same week and my vision was restored to how it was when I'd first had the cataracts removed .I was able to enjoy reading again and everything was crystal clear.Throughout the consultations and treatment, Mr.Goel was first class.He explained everything in a friendly and professional manner.All in all an excellent experience.

Mr. Quah and his staff have been nothing short of outstanding. I had refractive lense replacement surgery with Mr Say Aun Quah back in July 2017 and have absolutely nothing but great things to say about my experience. Not only did Mr Quah perform exceptional surgery on my eyes and achieve amazing results (I went from a +8.50 in both eyes and -3.00 astigmatism to better than 20/20 vision with both distance and near visual acuity), but has also provided me with exceptional after care, which is very important to me after undergoing such a procedure. Mr Quah was recommended by a friend and colleague. As a long term contact lens wearer my eyes were chronically irritated and glasses gave me headaches. I was impressed by Mr Quah’s reputation and reviews. He explained things clearly, and I went to have corrective ICL surgery with him as I wasn’t best suited for laser. The results are fantastic, far better that I’d ever expected. Better than 20/20 and clear vision with no dry eyes. As a doctor myself, I’d definitely recommend Mr Quah if you are thinking of having corrective eye surgery. I’d also recommend the ICL procedure as an alternative to laser.

Mr Goel did a laser eye surgery on my right eye and I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently it was done. You just got the impression that somebody was tapping the eye but it did not hurt! Mr Goel did a cataract surgery on my left eye and I am pleased to say that it was efficiently done with a lens inserted. I am also pleased to tell you that it did not hurt! I recommend anybody who needs their eyes sorted out to go to Mr Goel.

I had very successful ICL surgery for my severe myopia. I was fully informed of everything across the process. Mr Quah reassuringly has lots of experience in this operation and reassured me throughout. He was also friendly and open to questions at any point of the process. I’m very happy!

After struggling wearing high presciption contacts and glasses, i decided to take the plunge and explore the option of eye correction surgery, i was self funding and was recommended and referred to Mr Quah at HCA Wilmslow by my optician. My appointment came through quickly and i was initially seen by Claire who works alongside Mr Quah, Claire gave me a thorough eye test and passed her findings onto the Consultant. Mr Quah is one of the nicest Consultants i have ever met, he was personable and reassuring and explained all aspects of the procedure thoroughly, jhe agreed that i would be a good candidate for eye correction surgery and was willing for me to take time in my decision, he stated that as my lenses had to be made to suit my presciption, it could take up to 6weeks for them to arrive, but i was kept informed and an admission date was sent to me. On my day of admission i was seen first by Mr Quah who talked me through the procedure and aftercare. The ward staff were also very friendly and professional and made me feel calm and relaxed. The procedure only took about 15mins and Mr Quah was talking me through the entire operation. I was allowed to go home after i had a hot drink and biscuit and when i felt comfortable. I was provided with all appropriate eye drops and the format of useing them. After a couple of days i returned backto HCA Wilmslow for my second eye and again all went well. I cannot recommend having the procedure enough, it is life enhancing and the whole experience was made perfect by the skills and professionalism of Mr Quah.

After Mr Goel conducted cataract removal and lens replacement surgery for me in November 2020, at St Hughes Hospital in Grimsby, I was again referred to him in January 2021 for the second eye lens replacement, which was carried out early February. As with my first surgery, I was well looked after and theatre staff were pro-active in checking my welfare during and after the procedure. Mr Goel makes you feel at ease and the 4 week follow up appointment gives you the opportunity to discuss the way forward with him & your corrected vision. I would certainly recommend Mr Goel for eye surgery.

Following thorough eye testing and scans Mr Sid Goel confirmed my Cateracts where quite advanced and surgery under local anesthetic would correct this. I was completely reassured with his explanation and treatment requirements leading to my feeling more comfortable with the idea of surgery. However, on the day of surgery I had become quite anxious and seriously considered if I should proceed as at 91 years old - did I really need to do this?. As soon as I was in the care of Mr Goel and his team at the Hesslewood Clinic I felt safe. I was never left alone and conversations where pleasant and engaging - I felt I mattered putting me at ease. I felt no discomfort during or after surgery, although very tired a good night's sleep followed. Both myself and Mr Goel where amazed with the clarity and definition of my restored vision - I'm very happy with the kind, sensitive and professional approach from all involved with my treatment and care - thank you - Maria.

I have received excellent advice and service from the Eye Correction centre over the past 2 years. Firstly when I saw Mr Goel to discuss removal of Cataracts and the options available. After wearing glasses for most of my life for both distant and reading and finding wearing contact lenses more uncomfortable as I got older I opted to have multifocal implants after the cataracts were removed. Mr Goel performed the surgery on each eye and the results have been amazing. I can now read and drive without the need for glasses.I have recently been back to see Mr Goel for a small Laser tweak to the left lens and again was very pleased with the results and help provided. Would highly recommend Mr Goel to anyone needing eye surgery.

Amazing results - it was a great service from start to finish. At the end of the day my vision has massively improved. The colour clarity and the detail I can now see after cataract surgery and lens replacement is truly fantastic!! I recently underwent LASIK eye surgery at Hull and Sheffield (surgery at Sheffield, all follow ups at Hull) My surgeon was Mr Goel, I first met Mr Goel at Hull Royal Infirmary eye hospital, he diagnosed Acanthamoeba keratitis and started intense treatment straight away which saved my sight in my left eye. Because of this I was no longer able to wear contact lenses so I asked Mr Goel about corrective eye surgery, this is when I moved my care over to the eye correction centre to discuss available treatments, Mr Goel explained every procedure available and what was best for myself, he explained everything in a clear and understanding way, at no point was I pressured into having anything done. I was left to research and digest all the information I had been given. I wouldn’t have let anyone else do my surgery as I trusted Mr Goel impeccably with the care of my precious eyes, I decided on the LASIK procedure and surgery was scheduled, on the day of the surgery I was a bit apprehensive but right from the start Mr Goel and his team explained everything that was going to happen and they made me feel at ease at all times, the surgery itself was rather quick and completely pain free. The first 24 hours after the surgery was slightly uncomfortable so I spent the rest of the day resting and sleeping, the next morning I could see perfectly and all discomfort had disappeared, I had a follow up appointment that morning and everything was fine and my sight was perfect. I cannot thank Mr Goel enough for his professionalism and his caring manor throughout this whole process, I am extremely grateful and I would also like to thank his secretary Sue Collins. Absolutely over the moon with the results of my LASIK eye surgery. Mr Goel and his team were honest, kind and made me feel at complete ease from my very first consultation. My treatment was both timely and effective. My eyesight had deteriorated rapidly due to cataracts in both eyes. Mr Quah operated around mid September and my vision improved immediately. A further adjustment of my right eye with a little laser treatment means I now have excellent vision in both eyes and can see well enough to drive without the need for glasses. The service was friendly, efficient and pain-free and I would happily recommend Mr Quah for this type of treatment.

Two weeks ago I had upper eyelid surgery, Blepharoplasty, performed by Mr Goel. From the first consultation with Mr Goel about the need for this procedure he put me at ease, explained the pros and the cons, enabling me to make an informed decision. On the day of the operation everyone at the Hesslewood Clinic did everything they could to put me at ease. Throughout the operation, and afterwards, Mr Goel and his team made sure that I was comfortable and feeling alright. I went back 10 days later to have a follow up appointment and to have the stitches removed. Yet again Mr Goel was kind and gentle. In fact the removal of stitches didn’t hurt at all.
