I was referred to Mr Goel after a defect was discovered in my vision and I was seen promptly after making contact. Over the next few weeks, he organised various scans and checks and was quickly able to determine the cause and extent of the problem which certainly helped to put my mind at rest. After 6 months the issue had been resolved. Throughout the process he was extremely professional and approachable.

I recently had a cataract removed from my left eye, this was performed at St Hughs in Grimsby under Consultant Mr Goel. I was referred under the NHS. I was a little apprehensive as had never undergone surgery before. My fears were unfounded as it was a painless and relatively short procedure. Mr Goel and all the staff were lovely and very professional, the results amazing. I am awaiting surgery on my right eye with no fears just anticipating full vision in both eyes.

Mr Quah has been excellent throughout my treatment over the last few years. He removed both my cataracts swiftly and successfully. He's been hugely helpful with my follow up appointments and more recently arranging a subscription for drops to ease my dry eyes. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

On the 19th March 2021 i went to St Hugh's Hospital Grimsby to have Cataract Surgery on my Right Eye. This was performed by Mr S Goel at 10:50 in the morning. The surgery was performed in a spotless Operating Theatre by Mr Goel and his team. Pre Surgery I was informed exactly what was going to be completed on my Right Eye including what Lens was going to be inserted into my Right Eye. During the Surgery Mr Goel constantly informed what and why he was doing something to put me at ease. The surgery was quick and vey painless and I knew at all times what was happening and why which was extremely reassuring. This was my second Cataract Operation, I had had my Left Lens replaced in December 2019 at another hospital. This was by far the better operation and I felt better informed during and after the operation. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Goel to anyone requiring Cataract Surgery, from anywhere in the UK I travelled from Lincoln to have it done.

I have chronic iritis in my right eye from childhood and my left eye is undergoing changes mainly age related. Fortunately I have had the benefit of Say Aun’s care over the last few years. His expertise is excellent but even more important he is a gentle gentleman who explains the situation precisely in the most understandable way. This certainly gives me peace of mind and I would strongly recommend his services.

I am a widow and OAP so my sight is very important to me as I live alone. Little tip - Try to choose the best lenses you can afford, as they will be there for the rest of your life.. I can read newspapers etc corespondents and any other important documents I have to sign. No more searching for my glasses and end up either sitting or standing on them. I am now able to drive without glasses. It’s great going shopping without my glasses steaming up with wearing the face mask. Thank you Mr Quah for giving me and my independence.

I recently met with Mr Quah for a consultation. He has such a welcoming & professional manner which puts you at ease straight away. I appreciated his honesty as the information he gave me was very useful & non biased. I’ve never been able to wear contact lenses as I suffer with dry eyes (blepharitis). Mr Quah inserted collagen implants in my tear ducts and they worked instantly. This has changed my life dramatically. I am no longer going to have eye surgery as now I can wear contact lenses forever. I can’t thank Mr Quah enough as I’d never heard of this procedure before. It was quick & painless. I would highly recommend Mr Quah.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, I had to wait a long time to have my cataract operation and was eventually referred to Mr Goel at St Hugh's. My cataract was particularly dense and I had some concerns over the outcome of the operation. I needn't have worried. Mr Goel and his staff were extremely efficient. Every precaution had been taken to ensure that all patients and staff were safe from possible infections and the operation itself was quick, painless and successful. The staff also explained the follow up care required and took the trouble to make sure that all patients were fit to travel home. Finally, my vision is excellent. Thank you, Mr Goel, for your efforts. Also, for all those awaiting a cataract operation with Mr Goel: don't worry, you'll be in good hands.

Although the admin was sometimes a little awry, I cannot fault the treatment I received from the medical staff. The nurses were attentive and my surgeon, Mr Goel was most understanding as I was a very nervous patient. I cannot fault my cataract removal, and I am most pleased with the result. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Goel to anyone requiring this procedure.

I had excellent care from Mr Goel throughout my care. Everything was properly explained to me. Having to have general anaesthesia was rather terrifying but Mr Goel was very reassuring. I’m happy to say that my eyesight is completely restored

I can’t recommend Mr Say Aun Quah enough, I would 100% recommend refractive lens surgery. Mr quah explained everything to me answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. During the operation he told me step by step everything that was happening and what to expect. He is very polite with a happy smiling face and lovely character. The nursing staff were also very helpful, happy and reassuring. Within a few days of surgery I was reading my book without glasses and I couldn’t be happier thank you again.
