Visited Mr Goel for my annual checkup after cataract removal two years ago. All went fine and on time, unfortunately a scan machine wasn't working so I will need to visit our local hospital for the scan at a future date.

Mr Quah removed a cyst in my eye, pre surgery, every detail of the procedure was explained to me in terms that were easy to understand, during the procedure Mr Quah told what he was about to do and what to expect. The procedure was successful and Mr Quah managed all potential infection risks. Post surgery I had a number of follow up appointments to ensure that everything was as expected, and I have just had my final appointment 12 months after the procedure and Mr Quah was able to confirm that the procedure was a complete success. Superb Outcome from my Cataract Surgery I am so pleased with the outcome of my bilateral cataract surgery carried out my Mr Quah. I required cataract removal from both my eyes at the age of 78 and chose to have this done privately by Mr Say Aun Quah at Wilmslow Hospital. Mr Quah recommended the use of Johnson and Johnson Eyhance lenses for distant and intermediate distance sight with a toric lens to overcome astigmatism in one eye. Having been short sighted all my life I now have the benefit of 20/20 vision in both eyes without glasses. The intermediate sight allows me to drive without glasses as the instruments can be seen as well as the road ahead. I still run and can see the rough terrain which would be very difficult with multifocal lenses. There are no side effects common to multifocal lenses but the need for reading glasses is the only drawback. The operations were done under local anaesthetic separated by two days and were painless in all stages with the procedures completed within 5 minutes for each eye. A bright light is all I saw during the procedure although I was aware of each stage of old lens breakdown and removal and placement of the new lens, an interesting experience. Mr Quah's measurements of the astigmatism in the old lens and cornea allowed him to design the shape of the toric lens to compensate for the residual astigmatism in the cornea and this was very successful. The distant vision with the toric lens is slightly better than with the other standard lens. Both are excellent and it is a marvellous experience to have such good vision after over 70 years wearing glasses for astigmatic short sight. I highly recommend Mr Quah for cataract removal.

From start to finish the service we received was very personal and professional at the same time. The end result to my fathers eyes was very good aswell . Highly recommend.

Mr Quah carried out my lens replacement surgery a few years ago and I recently went back to him for some follow up work. As always Mr Quah explained everything fully and I had every opportunity to ask questions. I have been delighted with the care given and the work carried out by Mr Quah and would be happy to recommend him.

At initial consultation the procedure was explained and dates for surgery arranged. On surgery days the nursing staff were very caring and prepared to answer any questions. My sight has improved greatly. My only issue was having to make two trips to Hull for covid tests, there is a test centre closer to home.

Mr Qah was excellent in so many ways. Initial contact with him provided me with all the information necessary to determine the course of action. Risks were outlined but put in perspective. Advantages were discussed outlining the probability of their outcome. Mr Qah deals with all questions patiently and appropriately. The whole procedure was conducted in a professional, yet friendly atmosphere, again putting me at ease. I would highly recommend Mr Qah and his team.
