Interoccular Lens replacement I had lens replacement 4 years ago with Mr Quah at Optegra Eye Hospital Manchester. My quality of life improved no end. I'd had a lazy eye from birth, from which I could barely see. As I got older and my sight in other eye declined I was stuck wearing contact lenses with glasses over for reading. Following surgery, My vision in my lazy eye went from practically nothing to nearly 20/20. Amazing. A couple of months ago I noticed that very small print, e.g. on tubes and packets, was not as clear. I contacted Mr Quah and was called in straight away. The Capsule had thickened slightly. This is quite common in patients who've had cataract operations. Mr Quah lasered both eyes , YAG treatment, there and then and I now have my 20/20 Vision restored. I can't thank Mr Quah enough and would have no hesitation in recommending him.

A totally non - scary experience. The result of my cataract removal and multifocal lens replacement keyhole surgery has been more than I could have wished for, as Mr Goel has assured me that I now have 20/20 vision in the affected eye. I would recommend him to anyone who is considering a similar procedure.

I had an original consultation with Dr Say Aun Quah where he advised on Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) Surgery being the most suitable for my condition (-5 in both eye with one astigmatism). He also advised me on why the other surgeries wouldn't work for me. He explained everything in full, and answered all my questions. A year later, I had a second consultation with Dr Quah, wherein he gave the same advice. I went through with the surgery, which admittedly did traumatise me a little. Now, four months on, I have perfect vision and can barely remember a time when I wore glasses. Not only professional and excellent in his work, Dr Quah is friendly and reassuring, and I would 100% recommend him.

I had SMILE laser eye surgery with Mr Goel in May 2019. The procedure was successful and I am extremely happy with the result. The process from the moment I called the eye correction centre to the moment of the procedure was very smooth and everyone involved was so helpful. The communication was great between myself and Mr Goel’s secretary and she ensured that the pre-operative tests (eye tests, questionnaires, consent forms) were carried out in an efficient manner. The amount of information given regarding the procedure and aftercare was excellent. I would highly recommend Mr Goel to anyone looking at having laser eye surgery especially the SMILE procedure which has fewer post operative side effects compared to other types of laser eye surgery. Mr Goel is very knowledgable, experienced and talented and provided good reassurance throughout the process which helped me feel less nervous about the procedure. So I would recommend calling the eye correction centre as I’m sure they provide the best results as I have found out.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Quah and his team. From the first appointment through to discharge, he was professional, courteous and informative. The cataract procedure itself was extremely successful and my vision has improved enormously. The theatre staff at the Regency Hospital were incredibly supportive and put me at ease straight away. 2 new eyes and such clarity! Referred by my excellent Ophthalmologist, Anthony Josephson, to Mr Quah, following several years of being indecisive about dealing with cataracts and frequently changing prescriptions. Mr Quah was professional, reassuring and expert in his diagnosis and recommendation for prompt action. Both eyes were dealt within 1 week of each other and 6-weeks later, I can confirm the security of the process, the lack of discomfort during the procedures and the brilliant results. I'm still trying to take my invisible glasses off at night, pushing them up on my nose, which is not surprising as I have worn spectacles for over 60 years. Such freedom!! Thank you.

I am so pleased I had my eyes ‘done’! Initially anticipating cataract surgery, albeit with some anxiety, it seemed opportune to take advantage of further vision correction. Absolutely painless, I could hardly believe the miracle of wonderful clear sight the very next morning. This is my second review for the Eye Correction Centre and for Mr Quah. I had a corneal transplant in 2017 which went brilliantly. I have now had cataract lens replacement by Mr Quah completed in March 2019. The level of service and the clinical outcome were both excellent I had a bad astigmatism and quite high correction needed but Mr Quah did his magic and I have now been signed off with better than 20/20 vision. What more could you ask for? Don’t hesitate and worry your will be in the best hands possible

Mr Quah has recently performed Lasik eye surgery on me at Optegra Eye Hospital in Manchester. I have walked away with better than 20/20 vision and could not be happier with the results. I had my initial assessment and was told my eyes (-2.5 both eyes with astigmatism) were suitable for all types of treatment, Lasek, Lasik and Relex Smile (relatively new, less intrusive but more expensive treatment) but the decision on what treatment to have would be through discussion with the Mr Quah Throughout the process with Mr Quah I felt he was putting my clinical needs first and not those of Optegra. He was open and frank about the risks of the surgery and likely outcomes and through discussion he recommended Lasik as the most suitable treatment for me. I was shocked he did not recommend the most expensive treatment Relex Smile, but due to my pupil size and the fact I fly aircraft as a hobby Lasik was most appropriate. The surgery was great, the surgery was quick and pain free and the post operative side effects (glare, haze and dry eyes) settled down after a couple of weeks.

I travelled from Bristol to Manchester to have my surgery, following a recommendation. Mr Say Aun Quah was professional, approachable and honest. I had a high degree of long sightedness + astigmatism, and also needed glasses for reading. Because of this Mr Quah advised that I was not a good candidate for multifocal lens implants, however I could have monofocal lens implants which would improve my distance vision and astigmatism. Both of these conditions have now been corrected, and I only now need glasses for reading - off the shelf readers, whereas previously I was spending in excess of £700 every couple of years on glasses! I can actually now see to dry my hair and put make up on - amazing!! I would highly recommend Mr Quah and the Eye Correction Centre.

i needed cataract removal and because I had 3 problems with my eyes I decided to use the services of the eye correction service. The procedures have helped with astigmatism and glaucoma. The operation was made more difficult because the gap for removal of the cataract was smaller than the usual 2-2.5mm. Due to the skill of Mr Goel the multifocal lenses were inserted successfully and I now have better than 20/20 vision and can also read small print without glasses.
