I live in Mainland Europe and looked for a UK supplier that could get the right lights to me quickly and without a fuss. I wanted to replace halogen downlights with energy efficient LED lights. Having looked around on line I found downlights direct to have the best range. As somebody with limited knowledge I found all the information required to select the lights I needed. Pricing was about the best too. Delivery was also very speedy.

I purchased the Infrared Mini On/Off Sensor Switch and fitted it to a bathroom mirror cabinet to replace the pull switch to control the lights. Works perfectly up to 8 cms detection range and the control unit is small enough to conceal. These switches are particularly difficult to obtain, particularly at a reasonble price. Many thanks.

Replacing the 4 halogen spots with 4 LEDs is saving me money on energy. The light is bluish instead of sunshine yellow and that is fine, but I wish I had bought another pair for extra light.

I have used downlights direct for about 18 months and spent several hundred pounds over a handful of orders. Good prices and reliable service. When things don't go quite right they sort it out quickly and without fuss which is my definition of good service as even the best ocassionally make mistakes. The only area they could improve is the information they provide as your order is processed. This is s bit sparse and I have received my order on a couple of ocassions when their system is still reporting it is on back order.

Easliy fitted and appears to be well made. Arrived in very well padded packaging. The flexible arm is stiff to move and therefore should last a long time. I wanted something robust as there is potential for the light to be battered when changing bedding. Very happy with my purchase.

I wish I had come across this lighting company initially when we first started our house renovation as am sure I would have easily found everything I was looking for! However the two items I did purchase are really super -am well pleased.
