We recently signed our lease to a new flat in Aberdeen and I would like to mention Gill Annand as she was a great help to us in getting a new flat after having to move with little notice from our previous flat. The process was very smooth and she was incredibly responsive to all our queries which made everything a lot less stressful. Overall, this process has been one of my most positive encounters when flat hunting and for that I’m very grateful.

Trying to find and then securing a flat is somewhat of a challenge but the team at DJ Alexander at the various stages of the process were very helpful and made the process a lot less stressful and manageable - you were able to speak and deal with actual people and not just web links and chatbots - special thanks to Emily, Chloe and Micael.

Haven’t move in to my new property but the process was really simple. I have secured my new place in less than a week. Many thanks to Chloe Mitchell, she has been very accommodating and her willingness to assist applicant is top notch.

Staff were very helpful, especially Mr. Calumn Robertson, who was at the end of a phone call or email every time we needed any help every step of the way from finding a suitable property to filling in the application, up to the point of completion and approval. Definitely will use their services again.

I asked openrent to reference check one of DJ Alexander’s tenants at the Edinburgh branch. They ignored this request, and when I asked the tenant to makes enquiries with his letting agent about what was holding things up, they informed him that he would have to pay a £30 admin fee to DJ Alexander before they would release any information about the tenant. Compete ignorance and taking advantage of a tenant in a comprisable situation!!

If you are looking for a befitting apartment to rent in Scotland, you need to cross mental hurdle of searching on the web for months, psychological trauma of viewing/applying and getting rejections, and financial stress of high cost of renting and making a huge statutory/cautionary deposit. BUT DJ Alexander Letting Agent in Edinburgh is completely opposite. These guys are highly professionals. Their feedback system is robust and timely too. The staff of DJ Alexander in Edinburgh (like Caitlin Butler, Kaiya, Leno, Calumn, etc.) are awesomely dedicated and supportive. Your enquiriesteam is phenomenal. I have been with DJ Alexander since I moved to Edinburgh and my last apartment offer is simply WOW. Keep it up!

It has been over a week since we moved into our apartment, and we are still not being supplied with the furnishings that were promised and are listed in our tenancy inventory. We are paying a significant amount for a furnished apartment, yet the essential items are missing, and maintenance has not been completed as agreed. Dealing with this letting agency has been terrible. I’ve had to chase contractors and DJ Alexander myself, without being provided any updates or information regarding what’s being done to resolve the situation. Their lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable, and I have no confidence that this will be sorted any time soon. I would strongly advise potential renters to avoid this agency. We are currently seeking compensation, as we have not received the services we’ve paid for. This has been a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience.

I rented a flat from DJ Alexander for almost four years and have had numerous issues along the way - I would highly advise anyone to stay away from this letting agency. Issues have included the check-in process (20+ inaccuracies on the initial inventory), long delays before any response from the maintenance team about ongoing issues like mice and mould and there being a lack of response/follow-up throughout the years (felt like I needed to phone Xavier many many times to get any response), it taking a full year for a shower to be fixed (despite multiple 'inspection visits to check the issue' that I had to stay home from work for), being told by Leno I was in the wrong for paying the amount of final rent that had been agreed, numerous inaccuracies again with the check-out report (like them trying to charge me for leaving the landlord's items in a cupboard) and being charged a three hour cleaning fee as that is the minimum amount even though I had already thoroughly cleaned the flat myself. It has been a horrendous experience where my landlord was allowed to get away with things like not responding or taking their responsibilities in regards to issues serious for over a week on multiple times. Natalie was the only member that I have had some positive experiences with when she fixed issues that others had caused.

Carol and the whole team at DJ were absolutely fabulous to work with. I have been renting with DJ for 2.5+ years, and they made the process of my partner moving in as smooth as possible. Definitely recommend!
