The Edinburgh sales team were wonderful - my flat was promptly on the market and sold within a week! Stephen was my main contact. I found him professional and pleasant - nothing was ever an issue. He kept me updated throughout and made it such an easy process. He really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and provided a helpful sounding board at each stage. James managed the viewings. As soon as the advert went live viewings started being booked in. I was really impressed by the pace he had people in and looking around. Finally Sara provided the marketing pack. It was polished and really did show the property in the best possible way. I had one small piece of feedback and she turned it around the same day to get the advert online.

Kiearan mooney was incredibly helpful through the application process, understanding of my circumstances of having to move back to Ireland if I didn't find a place, he helped me find this in the nick of time. This process can be relentless so the relief of finding a place was comforting.

We did a change of tenancy managed by Laura MacTaggart, who was very helpful. Despite the intrusiveness of the process (they ask for an awful lot of personal information) and the involvement of third-party companies (with the consequent spamming of house-related offers and adverts), Laura always replied promptly to our calls and questions. A 10/10 for her!

LANDLORDS STAY CLEAR! I have been a Landlord for 28 years and have never dealt with such a useless Estate Agency. INCOMPETENT: - Badly designed app cause havoc; from tenants signing up to having access to statements, certificates and inspections. Since its crash, it seems they have no backup. - They have no record of an inventory for my furnished flat; so now that the tenant has moved out without giving notice and taken my Wooden Double Bed frame with him; DJ Alexander’s reply is. The tenant said he found it outside the property??? So DJ A wants me to believe that my previous tenant moved the frame outside for the new tenant to find??? DJ A obviously then had viewings of my flat with a mattress on the floor, like a squat? And nobody at DJ A checks the inventory or get the tenants to sign it? - Internal communication within DJ A is based on passing the buck to the next person. DEVIOUS: - From letting a flat for £840 per month I mostly received less than half of that after deductions this year. - I doubt that the back ground check on my last tenant was done properly as he has * Left without giving notice * Not paid for the 10 days in May which he did occupy the property. * Removed my Wooden bed frame and then have DJ A cover for him with excuses like; it was left outside. * Gary at DJ A suggests that I claim on the no deposit scheme after DJ A has sent a maintenance guy to fix the faulty boiler etc. Mmmm, that just sounds off. Why did the tenant not report that the boiler is faulty? DJ A maintenance will go in, fix ‘things’, send me a bill and then I can try and claim it back. Wow So now I’m flying up to Scotland to sort this mess out. When I started with DJ A in 2021 I thought their responses were up to standard, after the initial nightmare with the apropos app. In October 2023 I noticed things are getting wobbly. By January 2024 it was clear that DJ A is tumbling. Basically where I’m standing now; it’s unpaid rent and furniture stolen! I’m changing Estate Agents before this gets totally out of hand.

From enquiring to viewing to signing the agreement DJ Alexander were efficient in communicating every step of the way and were great in providing answers to any questions. Highly recommend them to anyone wondering to use their services.
