While the web page was well set up we wished it had readable instructions rather than a video. Also a timeline of how the process works from start to finish. Having said that, now that I’ve used it once, it will be simpler the next time.

Signing up was simple, connecting Clearit to our vendors was simple, and those were the hardest steps. The rest of the importing process was automatic including online progress and paperwork (electronic) sent immediately. Overall, easy; overall, superlative.

They are an ONLINE customs broker and they do that very well. If you expect personal hand-holding for hours by phone or in-person, you might want to go elsewhere. However, if you are hoping for professional expertise, fast and efficient online "paper"work, clear instructions (assuming you read them carefully) and good response time to email/chat inquiries, this is the place for you. I imported a motorcycle that is not sold in Canada, that is electric (and therefore does not "fit" traditional information forms), and was not even listed in some VIN databased because it is so new - still, all went without a hitch even though I had never done something like this before. Thanks.

First experience. Painless

Service was great. Price was fair. I only gave 4 stars due to the slow responses I was receiving, took one week to resolve. But a lot of my questions were due to the fact this was my first time shipping cross border and requiring a third party customs broker. Too many confusing acronyms and class codes etc. But if you know what you’re doing I would rate 5 stars all the way.

Timely delivery without complications. Advice of ETA in advance would have been nice.

Poor communication. Seemily made it the process seem very easy but ended up having communication problems and the commercial invoice set up was convoluted. I could easily create the invoice template but there was no where to upload it the created invoice. This created headaches when our shipment got seperated into two different shipments. I ended up having to have both shipments bonded. Our trucking company could not get a hold of anyone on the weekend for the first shipment and we could not get the proper invoice sent over for the second shipment. Unfortunately it was a very poor experience. I tried communicating on the live agent feature and did not get responses back on this either.
