Shrujal was a fantastic salesman and super helpful. I came in looking for a knife for my birthday. He gave me all sorts of options of different prices to choose from. He then bought out a ryusen knife and said if I ever tried this one I’d never go back. I was hooked and am now a proud owner of a Ryusen Knife with my own initials on. Great experience, wonderful selection, seriously cool knife.

This is the first time I have visited JKC in Baker St. I was looking for a high quality Santoko knife. I had an idea of the knife I was looking for and was served by Mayumi who patiently showed me similar knives and gave me valuable advice including the opportunity to try the knives out on some vegetables before making my purchase. The knife I chose is simply stunning! I had my initials engraved on the blade and while this was happening Mayumi invited me to look around the entire shop. The quality of the cookware and knives is breathtaking and so is the excellent service. I left thinking I’ll definitely be returning.

Simply put Malik Shukla made this purchase a success. I entered the shop interested in possibly purchasing a good amateur level knife. I was given the opportunity to buy just that, or a beautiful, fully functional work of art. I chose the latter and felt confident in my purchase. I declared that I had very little real knowledge and he patiently and knowledgable presented the various options. It helped having plenty of well presented products and a very helpful fellow customer, a professional chef, who endorsed everything that had been explained to me. Probably spent more than I wanted and will almost definitely have a nice Christmas present in the future from my kids of an additional knife, but absolutely no regrets. Quite the contrary a very special shopping experience

I have had one of your ceramic knives for at least 20 years. Unfortunately it got broken. I emailed the company to ask if it could be repaired and it was suggested I brought it into the store. This was impossible so was told it would probably cost as much to repair as buying a new knife and suggested one similar to my present one. It arrived promptly and am very pleased with the replacement.

Absolutely amazing buying experience at this lovely shop. Firstly a very knowledgable man assisted us in choosing a beautiful Japanese knife, all questions were answered and then explained the differences between the various knives. He then went on to show us exactly how to sharpen said knife (with a stone which we then also purchased), suggested a knife guard (also purchased). Didn’t hurry us, took his time with us. All in all a lovely way in which to spend quite a lot of money (on a longed for birthday gift). I will be back to purchase further knives, but not until next year, unless I win the lottery!
