However the chap dealing with my query was super slow in replying to my emails, so I ended up having to call and speak to someone to chase up my renewal documents. Hopefully this can feedback can be used to remind staff to respond to emails in a timely manner.

Paid and cancelled the policy before any policy documents or proposal accepted by the insurer. up to 60 days to refund even though I was told 3 to 5 working days. Absolute joke. Knowing what I know now even if they were the cheapest by hundreds of pounds I would stay well clear.

United Kingdom | 24 January 2021I had to take out a year's insurance when I only wanted a month to sell a deceased relatives cars. Sold them with in the week but they only gave 50% of the annual cost back due to extortionate "admin" fees and to add insult to injury will take 60 days to refund the money. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

In contact with the financial ombudsman regarding this company. Stay away from them and jim. one response was “i’m out with the wife” after days and days of trying to contact to which i replied if you don’t contact me about renewal i might not have a mrs a home or a business, i received no response what so ever. discussing treatment. then then had the guts to contact me and ask for £1000.00. which was promised to be moved over onto the following policy to which i wasn’t offered or quoted. STAY CLEAR IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS

United Kingdom | 13 January 2021Be VERY careful with this company. Set an insurance up on-line and paid. Then they send a message asking for proof of no claims discount. No problem I thought. But when I click through I find another message saying they are going to take an additional £107 because I had made a mistake in my information. I decide to cancel and get told they will charge me the one day I was covered for - fair enough I think - but then was charged a whopping £50 cancellation charge. Then to add insult I am told it could take 60 days to get my refund!. We all worry about illegal scams - this seems to be a legal one!

United Kingdom | 15 December 2020They hide behind the name quote line direct Avoid avoid avoid . Told them everything they wanted to know took my money then came back and asked for 80 quid more !!! Price to cancel ? An extra 12 pounds total joke taking this to insurance ombudsman. Update they listened back to phone call and realized there mistake . Had to fight hard for that .

United Kingdom | 09 December 2020A lovely company at the beginning, I explained my new business intentions and they assured me I had the correct policy. 8 months later as my business began to grow ( as I had informed them at the beginning) they said I had to by a second policy and the only way I could get this additional policy was to rent or buy a business premises! An expense i did not want and a property i did not need. Then 1 morning I wake up to a refund of all the premium I had paid i phoned Bollington and explain that a large sum of money had been deposited into my account and questioned why they said that on further investigation they discovered I was not actually insured!! I had at the time 4 tradeplate drivers on the road and a transporter and none of them had been covered correctly! They instructed me to cancel my policy and they would then set up the correct 1 for me. Every day for a week I called questioning the money and my insurance and every day i was advised the money was mine as it was an error on their part. I was phobed off for days regards to my policy so in the end I took a new policy out with another company. A month went past and I had a letter asking for all the money back!! And I was still insured with them!!?? I explained what had gone on and after a week of being told the money was mine i invested it back into the business. thrown from advisor to advisor we finally negotiated a payment plan and a final sum. Set up a DD and they tried to take out twice the agreed amount!!! After many emails and phone calls the first lockdown happened and I heard no more until this morning when a High Court bailiff turned up at my door. I had not received any correspondence through lock down RE legal action.. these seem to be a cowboy company!! Unprofessional and very sneaky regards the way they do do things a big scam for money...
