Novamar Insurance staff have integrity & are professional. Policy is also in English but they explain the details to those from U.S.A. & Canada who may have questions & wonder the degree of coverage needed. Mexican law can be different than Canadian law. Protecting our property, family & friends is very important.

I have my home and auto insurance with Novamar. Their service is excellent, they always send reminders when my policies are due to be paid (other insurance companies in Vallarta do not!) As a real estate agent, I recommend Novamar to all of my clients.

I think this company is quite unprofessional. I was letting them know about the mistakes they had made with my policy. I tried to either email them back, but they seem to have blocked me from sending emails to many employers of that company which I think it’s very unprofessional and unreasonable for any company to do.

If you ever have a claim, Novamar's claim department will go through as much work as possible to dis-claim you. They work for the insurance provider rather than their client. We have a 12 self-contained suite apartment with a decorative tile and wood ceiling on the 3rd floor. It had a sheet-metal roof bolted on a steel structure over this decorative ceiling. Part of the sheet metal roof was torn off with Hurricane Nora and most of our suites were badly damaged by the rainwater. The insurance inspector and their NOVAMAR insisted that there were 2 roofs on the building and the underlying roof (decorative ceiling 8" below the sheet-metal roof) was poorly maintained and the claim was denied. How is anyone supposed to maintain (waterproof) the top of a decorative ceiling that is 8" below your roof? How can NOVAMAR be so silly to come up with this excuse - that there were 2 roofs, in order to deny a claim. The reconstruction of our roof and ACs cost over US$90,000. The insurance claim paid out was less than US$3,000. It is a NOVAMAR wake-up call to vividly remember.

Stop sending communications regarding my insurance policies with your companies to my former property manager who hasn’t worked for me for the last five years. You were asked several times to remove the metal dress from your mailing list but it doesn’t seem to work. If the only way for you to stop emailing him is for me to cancel my policy with you that can be arranged.

I told Scarlett we had sold our house and asked what was needed to transfer the policy to the new owner. She gave me the information, I got what was needed, sent it to her, she confirmed and is taking care of the transfer.
