United Kingdom | 07 February 2025Canvassing agent lied about my neighbours signing up to save money by transferring energy suppliers. He was extremely pushy for me to sign up. Fortunately I kept an eye on what he was typing into his tablet when he was working out “how much money I could save” and he halved my annual usage estimate so it came up that the new supplier would only charge me half of what I was currently paying! He even pretended to have left my house when the money expert group were on the phone with me. My advice to anyone looking to switch anything would be to do it yourself online. He was only interested in making money for himself. Shocking

The details of changes etc were explained questions were answered and the whole delivery was about caring for me and my disabilities. Rating above and beyond.

The person was trying to get me to switch electricity/gas supplier & quoted how much I was paying for my gas, which was incorrect but she wouldn't listen. I did commit to the switch but felt I was almost bullied into it. She presented me with an i-pad to fill in my details but it had a badly cracked screen & I did struggle to see it.

I liked his calm friendly approach Oisin explained everything & answered all questions put to him. I found Oisin easy to talk to & would ask questions & him knowing that I understood.. There was no " Hard Sell" & I did not feel under any pressure to buy or feel uncomfortable in his presence & had all information to make my own decision to change over to British Gas.. Looking forward to & thanks to Money Expert, to return to British Gas, as my provider for Gas & Electric. I was very impressed on the adviser, the explanations to questions asked and his delivery and friendliness, nothing was too much for him, so a good deal all round.
