Maria was fantastic. These are really complicated involved transactions they do and the penalties for getting them wrong can be severe, so it's key that you come in a bit educated (and they have a ton of materials on their website, etc) , but it's also key that you have a partner that's experienced and patient in answering your questions and responsive and detailed oriented, these folks are all of the above, highly recommended.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t do business with IRA Financial, unless you are prepared for little to no customer service. Every step of the way I have had to chase down the various teams to get things done. Right now they are sitting on thousands of dollars of my hard earned IRA funds. Even though they have clear written and verbal instructions from me. I don’t know if Adam Bergman is aware of what is happening at his company but the service is horrendous. Don’t do business with IRA Financial. Don’t let the 4.5 stars fool you, check the Better Business Bureau. You’ve been warned.

We were in desperate need of help with our 401k plan after we were left in the dark by our previous accounting company. Our former account didn’t file the necessary paperwork and we were hit with fines that further complicated things for us. We reached out to several other accounting firms, but they were unable to help. Luckily, we found IRA Financial. Jennifer was very helpful and clearly explained everything that needed to be done and got to work right away. She took care of everything and was always available when we had questions. What we thought was impossible, IRA Financial was able to handle in record time. And the cost was very reasonable compared to others. I would definitely recommend IRA Financial Group to anyone who need help with their IRA or retirement plan or ROBS .

I was holding off on doing this review until I had made my investment. But the company I'm investing in is not quite ready to issue the shares yet. So I figure it's not fair to keep you waiting for the review since the delay is out of your hands. Originally, I only had a few days to open a self-directed Roth IRA account (or so I thought) before my window of opportunity would close on my intended investment. But on approaching IRA Financial by phone out of the blue, I was immediately able to discuss my case with a staff member after a very short hold. Good start. I was told it might take up to 13-15 days which I thought was going to be too long for my case. However, a discussion about expedited account opening showed it could be done. In fact, with a reasonable expediting fee, IRA Financial had my account opened and funds transferred ready to use in 3 days! Every interaction so far has been good. No complaints at all. I anticipate that, when I get to my investment, things will likely go well based on my experiences so far.

Overall, very easy process to open the IRA account and transfer from previous custodian.

well let's start by emails not returned by customer service department. depending on who you talk to what answers and none were the same. I could not get the process of how to convert from traditional to roth and what I was going be required to do. don't ask to talk to Sarah because that is not possible. I asked her to call me and help me out but that fell on deaf ears. I did finally figure out what I needed to do. when I setup my roth account the 1st person I talk to had me do it all wrong. I did eventually talk to Justin the supervisor and he was able to guide me thru the process. I suggest the you train your employees that answer the phone and if they don't really know what they are talking about they should say I don't know the answer and I will get back with you. I have been very disappointed in going thru this process and I thought I paid for some customer service. I did notice that on your recording while you are on hold waiting for help that you offer tax advise in my experience every person that I have talked or had contact with told me that I need to talk to a cpa that they don't do tax advise. funny thing is this email will fall on deaf ears anyway.

They add fees continously afterward. Stay away. Those fees they charge even if compliance forms are not due every year. They also kept my funds frozen for months while moving from one custodian to another with zero communication except when I emailed repeatedly asking about the progress. I should have migrated to another company immediately when I got a notification of changing custodians. I will be doing that now.

I started the process of making a partial distrubtion from my IRA on 12/22/2023. On 12/29/2023 I received an email that I would receive a call within 3-5 business days to authorize the transfer of funds. On 1/5/2024, I received an email that they needed another form--which I promptly submitted and now it will be 3-5 MORE days before I even get the call to move the funds. I started this on 1/22/2023 so that I could get the funds the first week in January. If you want your money out--plans MONTHS aheads....weeks are not enough time for these people to do their jobs. BTW--they did offer to expedite my funding for a $200 fee. F@$## these people.

Update: Still cannot trade crypto after 1 full week of my IRA account being funded. When I call the 800# number, the only people who pickup the phone is when pressing #1 for sales. But if you are an existing customer and need any support, these calls go to voicemail. Not cool. I've talked to the sales reps and they try to help but cannot. They promised a call back from support that never happened. I called the next day and once again, no support people answered, only sales reps are answering phones. I was told someone would call me soon. Someone did. She was a manager. She told me I had to sign papers for bitstamp. When I showed her that I already signed those docs, 20 days ago, she had no explanation, said she would do some research and call me back that day. She never called me back. I will update this review as the process unfolds. So far, everything I'm experiencing, it is my opinion that sales are the main focus, while support takes a backseat. Maybe delays are unavoidable, but repeatedly neglecting promised call-backs is a decision. 11 business days after applying: My funds are in my account, they took their setup fee, but I still don’t have the button in my account for buying crypto and they are closed for another 3 days meaning I have to wait for them to be open in order to figure this out. My other IRA custodians allowed crypto trading the moment the account was funded. This tells me things are more manual here at IRA Financial, which can be concerning given they have no support on weekends. The IRA transfer process took 11 business days which is 2-3x their quoted estimate. The reps were friendly and informative during the sales process, but they never mentioned the long wait I’d be experiencing even after the account was funded. I also don't like that the $100 setup fee was taken from my retirement funds. Other companies allow you to pay setup fees with bank transfer or credit card. I have 3 SD IRA’s and this one has been the most frustrating and longest wait with absent support. I hope for improvement.

Seems to be a slower set up process than I would have anticipated. It would also be helpful on the online acct setup forms to include some freeform area for questions or providing other critical information such as...I'm setting up multiple SD-IRA accts and a multi-member LLC so the New Acct Rep is looking for other forms. Maybe just have one form for multi-acct set ups. Would be useful to talk with the New Acct Rep per a scheduled calendar appt rather than hit or miss calls and voice mail

They helped me understand and then create my C-Corp for my rollover of funds to purchase my business. From the Articles of Incorporation, EIN, etc. they guided me to successfully create my C-Corp and 401k Trust fund.
