As of now the staff are real good there's always a car out there so you could take the stuff upstairs or downstairs I had a bad experience with cube storage the staff will mean and nasty and that's why I left over there now the other hand where I'm at now the staff are great no problem at all I love the place I would have gave it 10 stars but I'm only allowed to get five you got the best

Safeguard help get thru the passing of my brother who had long turn unit. Thay help me with the process of help me to move unit from my brother name to my name and set up payment too. I also had help when I went back to IL. to move and close out unit. The very nice lady help me in so I can close out unit.

I have reported increasing verbal threats made to me by Robert the manager at the Des Plaines,Illinois (store #170103) facility to his supervisor Gil the day they occurred; 6.5.2023, mid June, and again 7.22.2023. Each time Robert sought me out. The most recent occurrence involved Robert coming out the facility, wagging his finger at me, yelling that I should put forth more effort in returning the cart into the exact designated area and that I should behave myself. I have mobility issues. On 7.25.2023 I reported this to their supervisor Kevin via email. Other than a scripted email from Kevin dated 7.26.2023, no action has been taken. On 7.27.2023 I contacted Tom in customer service informing him that since 6.5.2023, I I have grown increasingly intimidated by Robert and have not felt safe accessing my locker unescorted, because verbal threats often escalate to physical ones. This has cost me increased time and money. 8.2.2023 Thank you to the Safeguard Self Storage Administration. This situation is now resolved to my complete satisfaction. Looking forward to continued renting from you in the future.

Never gave permission for auto pay, and I want it to stop. Never able to log on!

Staff I've encountered are professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I recently address an issue of seeing a roach coming out of another storage container opposite of mines. Staff thank me for making them aware of the matter and that they will make their exterminator aware as well.

On June 16, 2023, I went to Safeguard Self Storage on Causeway in Metairie after having a bad experience at a Kenner location. I had previously paid for and reserved a unit to move into on this day. There was no one at the location but i still needed storage unit on day. I attempted a few other Storage Units with no luck and then came to Causeway Self Storage, Metairie. Forgive me if the name was is incorrect, I am trying to identify it through her signature. Property Manager, Kari Hamsel ?? She made a bad situation good! She listened to our story, found our reservation in the computer system and the amount we already paid, and rented us a unit at that location. She transferred the money we paid for the Kenner unit to rent our Metairie Unit and cancelled the Kenner reservation. If she was working the several times we returned to store items or remove things from our unit she recognized us, would say hello or wave from another room. The service she provided would make me return there for any future storage needs and I will definitely refer this location to any friends or family who may require this service.

The process was smooth, the facility was clean, and it was an easy process. The office staff provided me excellent customer service.

I rented the storage unit to store my household goods while I was waiting for my house to be finished being built. My things were stored for about 6 weeks. The unit was very clean, and the staff was very helpful.

The forced/mandatory insurance is ridiculous. No ability to opt out even if you waive liability. No ability to decrease coverage regardless of the value of your items. The insurance can be close to 50% of the monthly rental fee.
