United Kingdom | 22 June 2015I ordered a Hedgemaster platform ladder £295 on Sunday 14.6.15 and rang customer service on Wednesday 17.6.15, to find out when the ladder would be delivered. I was told it would be either that day or Thursday 18.6.15. I waited in both days and did not leave my home during that period. But no delivery... I emailed them on Sunday 21.6.15 and received an email today with an attachment with a signed delivery receipt indicating that I took delivery on Thursday 18.6.15 @ 16.42. I rang them and asked them to confirm my description, as I apparently personally signed the delivery form. They have copied me into a email to their missing goods section (if you need a separate section, it's obviously a regular occurrence). I look forward to their swift resolution but I was savvy enough to pay on my credit card rather than PayPal which I would normally use. Watch this space. 6.1.16 update - I'm updating my rating from a 1 to 4 stars, as the ladder was eventually delivered. However just before Christmas while hanging lights on a fruit tree in my garden, one of the plastic feet on my ladder completely broke off and I noticed 2 others were cracked. I contacted toolnet, who acknowledged my email straight away and apart from a slight hitch of my email not getting through to their after sales team. I received replacements for all 4 feet that are of a better quality than the original. This company makes mistakes but in my experience, tries very hard to rectify their makes. Thank you Shirley..

United Kingdom | 14 June 2015I purchased a Clarke MIG welding cart at 10am on Thursday and received it at 12.15pm the following Thursday. I had hoped for next day delivery as I needed it for the weekend. I usually buy from Screwfix where If you order in the morning they will usually deliver the next day, but Screwfix did not stock this particular item. It wasn't until I agreed to purchase the item on the tool-net website that I was told that delivery would take 3-5 working days with no option to pay extra for faster courier. So I placed the order and hoped it would arrive Tuesday. On the third working day (Tuesday) I emailed them first thing to say that I was concerned that the item had not even been sent (as shown on their website), I received back a one line email saying, "You should receive your item by your 5th working day, which is Thursday", but no other explanation. On Wednesday they finally shipped the item and paid a 24 hour courier to deliver on Thursday. It would not have cost them any extra to ship the item the day I ordered it and deliver it next day. If they had a problem with stock, (or any other problem), they certainly never let me in on the secret. This was the first time I used them but I think Tool-net have got to up there game a bit if they want to compete with Screwfix and the rest of their competitors.
