United Kingdom | 29 November 2024Received my books when expected, they are of great quality and am very pleased. I received a second unexpected delivery - this contained a misprint version of the books which they clearly corrected without any disruption to me. Glad to have the misprints as well

United Kingdom | 26 November 2024Excellent company, great service. I had a colour children's illustrated book printed. The print colours were lovely and the print and paper of a high quality. There was a delay in the book being delivered and I contacted the service team, who answered me quickly and advised me the product would be a day late. All and all a great service, I would definitely recommend and will use again.

United Kingdom | 26 November 2024I’m so impressed with the printed book! The quality is top tier. From start to finish, the process has been intuitive, smooth and user friendly. 10/10

United Kingdom | 22 November 2024I had a set of twelve books printed and they turned out really lovely. Good quality and very good value. The customer service there is really helpful and great as well. I have to give an update. Mixam reprinted the books free of charge and they came back high quality.

United Kingdom | 20 November 2024Used previously about a dozen times with ultra-reliable turnarounds, competitive pricing, and most importantly amazing print quality. Recently the actual delivery dates vs promised dates have been slipping, and today I was told that my most recent order (which was scheduled to arrive with me Wednesday 19th November) has been "updated" to now arrive with me 5 days later (on Monday 25th November). These booklets I ordered were specifically for an event on Nov 23rd and so I was comfortable ordering with an estimate delivery date of Nov 19th. I could have used a local printers for this particular job if the website was showing a scheduled delivery date after the 23rd, but I trusted the scheduled dates on Mixam's website at the point of ordering. I have over a hundred people arriving for this event and the booklets were to hand out to guests. I have messaged Mixam and am awaiting a reply. I will update both this review and rating if they can honour their original delivery date. Can't say fairer than that.

United Kingdom | 17 November 2024Mixam is a reliable and helpful company, consistently delivering quality products that meet expectations. Their prices are competitive; even for budget-friendly options like my hardback book, the results were impressive. While the ordering process is straightforward, it would be improved with a save option. There were delays with delivery on occasion, but the final products were of excellent quality, including bespoke bookmarks and dissertation covers. Despite some minor hiccups, Mixam's value and quality make them a four-star choice. Highly recommended for anyone needing printing services.

Spain | 16 November 2024As a photographer, I expected a professional quality for my photography book, but Mixam delivered the worst printing I’ve seen in decades. I genuinely believed such poor standards were a thing of the past given modern advancements in printing. If I had used a photocopier, the result would have been better. The red tones are completely oversaturated, ruining every photo with red hues, even though the black and white images are acceptable. The overall quality is appalling, far below what I could consider professional. I will never trust Mixam for any future projects. Highly disappointing!

United Kingdom | 15 November 2024TLDR: I placed an order 4 weeks ago and still don't have it! I doublt I'll have it in 5 or 6 weeks time at this point. I placed an order on the 15th October, 1 Book. The Order was marked as in production on the 16th October and that’s when issues started. The estimated dispatch date was the 22nd October, on the 21st I was contacted saying that it was delayed and wouldn't be dispatched until the 29th. Not great finding out the day before but fine delays happen. Then on the 29th I get another message saying it’s been delayed again, this time till Friday 8th November. On the 5th November I message asking for a status update on my order and the following day receive conformation that the planned dispatch date is still the 8th November and they apologies because they have been having technical difficulties. Ok, well at least I got some explanation as to the delay this time and it's still going to meet the dispatch date, right??? WRONG! The 8th comes and goes. I receive a follow-up message on the 10th apologising for not meeting the dispatch date and that its been revised to the 14th November. Which comes and goes and I’m meant to be expecting my order now on Tuesday 19th November. I have very little, if any, faith Mixam will deliver on this date either. I will say since I have been making a point to remain in contact with Mixam, responses have been same day or next day, which is a lot better than letting me know that my order has been delayed the day of the planned dispatch. Delays happen but this has been unbelievably frustrating.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2024If time sensitive don't trust what they quote. We place 4-6 catalogue print jobs a year and have done with Maxim for several years. Quality and finish and ease of service is good. However the advertised, quoted then confirmed dates have increasingly over the last 24 months been misleading, and the communication about this poor. Just placed another 2 jobs, both late and one severely. We now have print excess due to arriving too late and higher redistribution costs. This will be our last order with Mixam which is a shame, because its all related to overpromising and underdelivering timelines. In response to Mixam's comment: as an example the advertised, quoted and confirmed production leadtime was 4 production days, the actual was 16. I should not need to request especially that Mixam deliver the service they advertised, confirmed and are contracted to. At 6pm the day the order was due to ship I was notified of the first delay at which and every point after this I emphasised the time critical part of this order. I find it interesting that the respone time on public forums like trustpilot is overnight but customer service took days to respond when the issue was occurring. Beginning to think this should be reported to Advertising Standards Agency as false advertising. Can see both my previous experience and others on Trustpilot I am not alone in not receiving the advertised service.

United Kingdom | 13 November 2024Ordered on the 5th of November for delivery on that Friday the 8th. I was notified that there was a delay and it would arrive on Monday. On Monday I received the tracking that said the details had been registered but the parcel had not been received by the postal service. I checked on the Tuesday to see if it had moved but it had not so I sent them an email. I called today (Wednesday) and there was no one to speak to so I had to leave a message. I ordered specifically from them because they had very quick lead times. This is obviously not the case and they shouldn't offer the service if they can’t honour it especially when I paid extra.

United Kingdom | 12 November 2024I know that bad reviews can hurt a business and wouldn’t normally go there. But I’ve been pretty shocked by Mixam’s terrible customer service when something went wrong with my order. I placed an order on Monday 4 November, guaranteed ‘next day’ service. I paid a lot extra (£12 on an £11 order) to get a guaranteed next day service. The day before I was due to receive my order, I got an email saying my ‘dispatch date had changed’ to the day it was meant to arrive. In the end it arrived 5 days late. I had to find an alternative service (paying again), meaning Mixam’s service was useless to me. Not only did they completely to refuse to refund even the extortionate postage, when the product arrived, the quality was also bad (line down the middle of the front and back cover). My 1* is mainly based on the refusal to provide a refund for the delay and quality which has meant I have a completely useless product from what was supposed to be a high quality service.

United Kingdom | 12 November 2024I ordered on November 1st with the estimated delivery date of November 8th. The dispatch dates were since updated, splitting my order, so some would be dispatched on November 7th, the other November 8th. Part of my order was delivered today, November 11th. The other half started production today, ten days after I ordered. The updated dispatch date has jumped from today to tomorrow to Wednesday - November 13th in a matter of hours due to production delays. I need my order ON November 14th. This is not going to happen at the rate that my order is pushed back and back and the fact that it took four days from dispatch to arrival for the items I do have. If you have an order and need it for a specific date, order it elsewhere. There are plenty of reliable printing services that can actually deliver on time with better customer service. I will not be using Mixam again, which is a shame as I have only had positive experiences and quick turn arounds until now, but this is unacceptable and seems to have been an ongoing problem for other customers over the last month at least. If you know you have production delays, disclose this with your customers so they can plan accordingly. Don't keep it a secret until you are starting production ten days after the order is placed, three days after it was supposed to be delivered. Update: they replied and said that sometimes delays happen due to artwork errors which is definitely not the case here as I have specifically been told it is due to production delays, I assume the same delays that have effected orders since October. “Production is trying to get the booklets shipped today but unfortunately it is not guaranteed due to a volume of orders in production.” (11.11.24)

United States | 12 November 2024I couldn’t be happier with my experience working with the team at Mixam to self-publish my first cookbook. After an initial test print, I had some concerns about the alignment of the cover and spine, but they were quick to correct it on the bulk order and it ended up perfect! The entire team was an absolute pleasure to work with—especially Charlotte and Claire, who were incredibly responsive and quick to answer all my questions. They made the entire process feel smooth and seamless, which was such a relief as a first-time self-publisher! The final product exceeded all my expectations. (I ordered a hardcover, matte cover, 100# paper, full-color cookbook.) The colors in the photos are vibrant and true to life, and the hardcover is beautifully crafted, with an exceptionally high-quality feel. I’m thrilled with how my cookbook turned out, and I highly recommend Mixam to anyone looking to bring their project to life with ease and stunning results.

United States | 07 November 2024To begin with, Mixam were great. I felt lucky to have found them, and pushed 4 books their way. It wasn't always plain sailing, but they had a support team. When book number 5 was ready, I found out they had stopped offering the particular printing process I had used, with absolutely no warning and no apology. The quote for using their other process (presumably now their only one) was a stonking 350% more than my normal cost. My books were a series, so it mattered that they match. Finding a different company that could match my book specifications came at a cost, but better than Mixam'a quote. I cannot recommend any company which treats their customers so badly.

United Kingdom | 01 November 2024I have been using Mixam for the last couple of years to produce prints for sale. The quality of their prints is excellent, the turn around time is acceptable and all in all they provide a good product. Unfortunately every single order is so poorly packaged that it arrives damaged and many of the prints are unusable. I have spoken at lenght to the company and been told to request extra packaging which I do each time but still no joy. They take a pile of beautiful prints, on high quality paper and shrink wrap them (this is always torn on arrival) and then stick it in single cardboard boxes or cardboard envelope. Each time I have to go through the hassle of organising a refund and or a reprint and so the cycle continues. I am at my wits end. I have begged for help several times and they always respond in the same way. Every time I order prints there is a nervous wait to see if they can send them safely and they NEVER do. I feel very sorry for the printing team who are doing beautiful work which is then handled badly so they then have to reprint bla bla bla it is so tedious. Short of driving to collect the prints (a 4 hour round trip) I don't know how else to ensure safe arrival.

United Kingdom | 01 November 2024Shockingly bad service. Placed an order on the 13th September. Was originally told delivery would be on the 20th. They kept pushing the date back and we were eventually promised the 15th October. The books were needed for an exhibition, we told them that and said the absolute latest would be the 25th. On the 24th I contacted them to check and they replied that they couldn't fulfil the order. I expressed my concern and five days later they replied saying the earliest would be the 1st November, but couldn't even guarantee that. They not only let us down but failed to give us enough notice to make other arrangements. A refund and 10% off a future order is the best they could come up with.

Canada | 31 October 2024Mixam.co.uk really helped me with uploading files for printing. The account executive was extremely knowledgeable and familiar with the format to be used to submit files. The other agents also quickly answered my questions about reprinting and orders.

United Kingdom | 29 October 2024We've been a fairly long time customer now and spent over £15,000 with Mixam. Until now things have been good, with only the occasional hiccup. With out last order the estimated delivery date kept being pushed back, with only automated messages. Then only part was shipped, when I was promised on live chat that all of it had been. Finally the outstanding items were delivered two weeks late and they've printed on the wrong paper weight (and not even close - printer paper rather than 200gsm). The communication when things have gone wrong have been terrible, and on raising the issue just now on live chat I've been asked to fill in an online form instead.

United Kingdom | 29 October 2024I searched many websites and found Mixam one of the cheapest, and simplest websites to use. They had very quick responses and even contacted me before printing to see if I wanted to make some potential changes they recommended. Great customer service and quality. Very happy customer.
