United Kingdom | 28 January 2024After many years of struggling to get Charles White to manage the estate without constant reminders and hassling, almost 100 owners finally unanimously voted to get rid of them. At this point Charles White failed to follow their own procedures, and took the (fortunately relatively small) amount of outstanding debt and split it between only the houses that were in credit. Most or all of the owners in debt didn't even know they were in debt as they hadn't been informed by Charles White. Email complaints were fobbed off. Our whole estate is delighted to see the back of them.

United Kingdom | 26 January 2024If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. My development has been taken over by Charles White as management agent. They have sent me late payment and demand full payment up front. Our directors told us we could make either direct debit or online payments which I have chosen to do. I made two payments so far Dec and January both on time and even early. I received notification yesterday via post of late payment and been charged late payment. My address and reference account are noted on payment system even my balance reduces. I take screenshot. They sent me notice of legal action and threatened to contact mortgage lender to obtain fee. Even when my fees have been paid. This is disgusting. I'm glad I'm selling my place Charles White appear awful to deal with.

United Kingdom | 26 January 2024Have recently changed Management Companies and now with Charles White. Had some external damage to my property and within 48hrs of reporting it, contractors had been out and damaged repaired. An absolute pleasure to have as a Management Company.

But our new client relationship manager Paul Sanders has grabbed the bull by the horns, and the future is looking good. Our first AGM with him was a great success, with all present being greatly impressed.

United Kingdom | 23 January 2024Charles white cause more trouble than good and then charge you for it. In the context of building works, there’s no apparent motivation to secure the most cost-effective quote. They have a legion of "approved contractors" that charge hundreds for a change of lightbulb and are more than happy to invoice CW for work that "might, might not" solve an issue they're dealing with. Just recently, CW has decided to replace a pin code lock to a communal cupboard and charge us for it instead of asking any of the residents for the code. It’s clear that Charles White’s interests don’t align with yours!

We have had several Client Relationship Managers who have not shown any interest in the improvement of the properties. When Barbara McCone took up the management on behalf of CW there has been a notable change. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and knowledge has been very noticeable and she has in motion a schedule of works aimed at updating the properties. In a recent example our contact at the company, Barbara McCone, very quickly responded to our questions and was able to resolve the issues very rapidly and arranged for contractors to carry out some work with a working day of my first contact. Furthermore Barbara came out to see us the evening the work had been completed to inspect it for herself and to ensure we were happy with the work. Her courtesy and professionalism are exemplary and it is very reassuring to know we have individuals such as Barbara managing the development through Charles White. A first class service.

United Kingdom | 21 December 2023Charles White do next to nothing for their 20% administration fee for insurance. At least the Broker does something for his 10%. Perhaps our development is an extreme example but our insurance, for whatever reason, has trippled over 3 years. There is no incentive for Charles White or the Broker to obtain lower premiums, while they can sit back and watch their commission treble. Similarly on a percentage basis for building works, there is absolutely no incentive to obtain the lowest quote. Don't be fooled by any claims to have frozen fees, while hidden fees skyrocket. Charles White's interests and yours are not aligned! I don't feel about it, as if I am being emotional about it. It is an absolute certainty that if insurance premiums treble, then Charles White's charges treble. Thus I complain about their high level of charges, as I would complain to anyone about a tripling of charges over three years.
