Around 6 months ago I decided to trade in my Slash Vermilion Burst for one of the new Les Paul moderns in colbolt burst. Unfortunately the one in store was damaged, they then ordered one in from another store again damaged. Both of these were then later listed as B stock. The store kindly offered to order me one direct from Gibson which took until a week ago to arrive. I was looking forward to collecting and jamming out today but unfortunately although the top was perfect the sides of the body had what could only be described as white spots on it and a poor quality neck to body joint. From this I requested a full refund as couldn't wait again, this was met with the remark all ordered guitars are basically 100% none refundable which I found to be a shock and was never explained to me in the first place. You could tell the refund was reluctantly given with the adviser making me feel uncomfortable. When you are paying £3k for a instrument you expect flawless and don't think I have been awkward in any way. Unfortunately from this experience I will not be returning to this or any PMT store in the future which is a shame as the stores are quite impressive.

Competitive price and The order all went through ok. The staff member in the branch was friendly helpful and polite, despite it being busy .. so all good there. The only issue I had was with the website - no option for Apple Pay which is my preferred method - and not possible to pay with pay pal for click and collect (I assume it doesn’t say this anywhere). The notifications were confusing - it’s like the click and collect side of things isn’t quite set up - for example I got a notification my parcel had shipped, but what had actually happened was I had collected it from the store.

Do not purchase things from PMT online if you want a valid guarantee. I bought some very expensive Beyerdynamic headphones which fell apart shortly after purchase. I supplied full details and pictures showing clearly no damage, just faulty construction. I was informed that PMT were classifying the fault as 'damage' (which it clearly isn't) so it wouldn't be covered. They said neither PMT or the manufacturer, Beyerdynamic, guarantee against their items falling apart, as they classify this as 'damage', which is against their own warranty terms. Purchasing from PMT has left me significantly out of pocket. I suspect the good reviews are from people that did not need to use a guarantee.

Was easy ordering the product

I've used these products for years, every so often changing to check out the competition. I always come back to WGAC because their service is faultless and the product and value are the best. Also, the seasonal Christmas wrappings are mad, they make you believe toys come alive at night. Not sure if that's good or bad, but I don't get that kind of stimulus from any other toilet paper, so...

The experience was stress-free. And I was happy I had various options to choose from for payment.
