Can I suggest that those of you who have similarly paid but received no goods keep going at them and about them and you might get a refund as well !!

United Kingdom | 13 May 2023I purchased a video from these people, first of all they sent a video which had a scratched tape head, was dirty and nothing like the video l paid for. They promised to send a decent player an upgrade as a gesture, l amcstill waiting weeks and weeks later, also they will not answer calls as they have removed their number blaming staffing problems, they will not reply to emails at all. At the beginning of this l asked them if the would look at my panasonic video/DVD recorder which is/was a good expensive machine with the view to repairing it, the contacted me which was the first, last and only time and quoted me £100 to repair, l don't think they were expecting me to say yes please go ahead, l think their plan was to hope l say no and tell them to dispose of it with a weiw to selling it for. So basically they have stolen 2 video machines from me. Do not use these people. If they cannot reply to an email it just shows how untrustworthy they are, give them a wide berth.

United Kingdom | 20 April 2023I bought the Video to DVD conversion kit after speaking to the company who seemed helpful - I am not at all tech minded. The website offers support, so I took a chance. That proved a mistake. I can't get the video capture to work - I get sound only, no video, which defeats the whole object. I have managed to connect the video player to an old TV to check it, so I know that works, but I can't check the USB dongle. I have sent lots of emails - they say their phones are faulty - do I believe this? I have received only 2 replies, neither of which was helpful. I now have some useless gear and no idea what to try next ....

United Kingdom | 12 April 2023I purchased a second-hand video player and new remote from Electrovid in January 2023. The player has a fault, the remote doesn't work, and neither came with instructions. Despite numerous attempted phone calls (they never answered) and emails (only 1 reply), months later the faults have sadly not been rectified. I can only conclude that I would NOT recommend buying from Electrovid.

The vcr I was sent didn't work, eventually after several messages they sent me a returns label. I sent it back but have not got my money back and they ignore my messages sent over the last 10 days.

United Kingdom | 29 March 2023I bought a Revamped VHS player from Electrovid in February. It arrived on time and very well packaged. I found it developed a fault on the second time of my using it. I phoned and told them the problem, and they immediately sent me a free return label and said to return it in its original packaging. I received my player fully working after a week, very well packaged once more. Very good service and products, with a full çustomer service and helpful and polite help line.

United Kingdom | 09 March 2023I have several hundred VHS Video's that I would like to transfer onto DVD, so I search the internet for a working VHS player and looked at ELECTROVID which seemed to have what |I needed but when it arrived the scart lead was unusable, the software was useless the video player seemed to work but would not connect to my PC via the cables supplied even those leads that I already owned that were identical to those supplied would not work, after several hours of trying to get it working I manage to get some audio which was very disjointed and not very clear but no picture I yet to contact the company with my complaint, but I would not recommend using this company for a secondhand video player or their kit for the transfer of video to DVD

United Kingdom | 01 February 2023I purchased the VHS to DVD converter kit. Before I placed the order, I confirmed with them that the software required was available to download as my laptop doesn't have a CD drive, they confirmed so I was happy to put the order in. I had to chase for an update on the order as it wasn't dispatched for the few few days, to be told they was awaiting stock and it would be dispatched today. It arrived the next day, but with the CD software, which was broken so couldn't be used anyway. The VHS worked to my best knowledge, but couldn't use it to convert these tapes as the software wasn't usable. I have since contacted them multiple times asking for a download link, to either be fobbed off by being advise the technician would be sending it today (Never received) or ignored completely. So now I have a VHS player, the converting kit but no software to use in order to convert it, making it useless.

United Kingdom | 22 January 2023I bought a refurbished VCR and digitization dongle from these guys last year (Sept 22). The dongle didn't work. I set the whole lot back and asked for a replacement. Matt confirmed that the dongle was faulty. Replacement arrived, but ONLY the dongle, not the VCR (I'd sent the whole lot back as it was not clear where the fault was.) Since I had no VCR and could not confirm that the dongle worked, I sent it back and asked for a refund. That was November 22. No reply since.

United Kingdom | 10 January 2023I bought a refurbished VHS/DVD combo player on behalf of a relative. It arrived within 7 days as expected. It was easy to set up and both the VHS and DVD player work absolutely fine. My relative hasn't tried recording yet but so far so good.

However, it took 3 weeks for me to discover the machine's faults which was then too late to return it for a refund. In addition, after I had placed the order I didn't hear anything from them - no order confirmation, no estimated delivery, no acknowledgement. I phoned them, was told they would email me but still received nothing. Finally, they use UPS for delivery who, frankly, are also rubbish. PS it is now several weeks since I bought this machine and it just gets worse, I frequently have to reboot it, it failed to record my favourite programme whilst I was away and is generally hugely unreliable. I paid over £100 for this piece of crap and, as a pensioner, I was hoping to save myself money by not buying new but instead I've effectively lost that money. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Hong Kong | 21 February 2022I ordered a DVD/VHS combo player just before Christmas and it arrived within a few days (in time for Christmas as promised). Unfortunately it wasn't working (switched on and off) but couldn't get it to play a tape or DVD. I corresponded with the company on and off for two months about a replacement ... always waiting on something but always prompt to respond to my emails. In the end I suggested that I should just get a refund and, without any prevarication, I got an apology and a full refund within a few days. I'm sorry I couldn't get what I wanted but I can't fault them for responding to my emails promptly and for paying a full refund without questions as soon as I asked for it.

United Kingdom | 13 February 2022Not happy at all, ordered a DVD player that took almost a month to arrive. They didn’t respond to two emails that I sent chasing up the order. I phoned up and they said they were waiting for a part. DVD player eventually turned up but it makes a really loud scraping noise from the disc so you can’t hear the movie. I emailed again to inform them and I am yet to receive a response, it has been a week since I sent the email and still no response. Not great customer service.
