I have recently had an 8mm film, over 50 years old, transferred onto a DVD. I am so pleased with job you have done, far beyond my expectations as the tape was so old, and some of the sound track was damaged! I now have a clear vision and sound of ‘grandad’ for my six grandchildren, that he was sadly, never able to meet. The DVD shows their grandad at 32 taking great delight in his hobby of radio controlled aeroplanes! We are a very happy and grateful family!!

Took 7 days for a product to arrive that was listed "in stock". Turns out the item was not in stock and had to be ordered from the supplier.

The price is the lowest of the five firms I have tried, apart from one 50p cheaper. I had my DVD within a month, which is good in this business, it seems. Crucially, as far as I could tell, the quality of the finished product was as good as any of those I have tried. Others do things like free collection and delivery, adding titles, letting you design the DVD box using your own picture, and even enclosing complimentary fudge, but all I really want is the pictures. While some services offer to create menus and so on, I suggest this is best done at home. I have invested in the best editing software I could find, which I recommend as well worth it if you have the time and money. With this you can enhance the picture quality a bit, reducing some of the shake and graininess and making the colours a bit clearer. You can also add titles and subtitles, cut out annoying joins, flashes, and shudders, and create your own DVDs with menus, combining two seven inch reels of film on one DVD.

At the beginning of the disc the format is wrong, cutting out some important titling, The whole film has been transferred at the wrong speed, slowing down the pace of the commentary. Part of the reel was not transferred. Altogether, the disc is quite useless.

I recently lost my wife, and discovered a very old cine film of our wedding 50 years ago. The hand held projector was all rusty inside, the film looked in a poor way etc. but, as this was the one and only film of my beloved wife, I sent it off to Cine Magic in the hope that they could somehow provide a lasting memory for me.
