Dog Vacay made it very easy to find a pet sitter. The website includes past users reviews of each of the pet sitters listed in addition to their approximate location from you which helped me decide who I initially wanted to contact. Was able to do a meet and greet with the pet sitter before deciding whether to book with them or not. The only downside (which was not a deal breaker for me) is as soon as you and the pet sitter agree on the dates they will be watching your pet they notify Dog Vacay and you are charged immediately. So when I booked with the pet sitter in June for my Christmas vacation in December I paid for it immediately. It would be nice if you could pay closer to the time you are actually leaving your pet with the sitter. As an added note they do say if you cancel 30 days or more before your booking your money is refunded minus a small service charge.

I have met a few wonderful caring people who love my Bare. He is never afraid to stay.

Our sitter is always so accommodating. Even when she has dogs she is caring for, she is still will find time to do a walk or two. The problem I have run into with Dogvacay scheduling is the scheduler allows me to make appt. for day care even though our sitter already has dogs that have been scheduled to stay in her home for a few days. But if she blocks out the day, I am unable to schedule a walk. Other than that Dogvacay has been a life saver. Thank u

this was totally flawless. you can search for sitters by map, which is super convenient when going out of town - you can find someone so close to home. and the person dogvacay put me in touch with was excellent. she sent me a couple of updates a day and was overall great. my dog seemed happy and well cared for when i got him back. i'd absolutely use the service again (even if that sitter isn't available, though i liked her a lot, too).

Our dog, an 80 lb Golden Doodle, was the most relaxed and happiest he had ever been when we were gone for a few days. In the past, I've had a lot of challenges in getting reliable, local, affordable sitting service for my dog. This app was a last minute effort to get a sitter for my dog and it was a great success. All the sitters that I spoke to were very professional and helpful. I definitely recommend it!

I found DogVacay while using a web search for kennels. At first, I was skeptical but I figured let me try 1 night, what's the worst that can happened? I found a sitter named Heather and she was wonderful, our dog Bella felt comfortable with her and her home. Knowing we were planning to take a longer vacation I used her two more times for overnights just to get Bella used to her home, it was a smart move because by the time I dropped her off for the longer vacation, Bella ran right in and jumped on her couch like a 2nd home. I felt very much at ease, and just knowing that she was not going to be caged up at night like most kennels use it made me happy knowing that I was doing the right thing. It was also much cheaper than most of the kennels in my area. DoVacay was a win/win!
