United Kingdom | 27 September 2024I have used Habito several times over the past few years for both residential and BTL mortgages. Habito chats used to be responded to in less than 15 minutes two years ago but now using them as a broker is very painful. 1. Habito "experts" are constantly on annual leave and away so it makes it difficult to have a single line of communication to one person. 2. Those who try to cover simply write an acknowledgement message and then wait until your "expert" is back from annual leave. 3. Messages through live chat can take up to 24 hours to be read and responded to despite the "expert" being active and online (dealing with other clients). 4. Brokers tend to ignore messages and it's difficult to receive a timely update when you have pressures to get a mortgage offer. 5. Too many people are involved, an "expert" to recommend your mortgage, a broker, a case manager and countless other customer service staff. Habito is too big for it's own good and customer service have gone downhill. I think this is the last time I use Habito for one my mortgages.

What’s not to like? I used Habito for my mortgage five years ago, and they were the first place I came back to when I needed to remortgage. Surely that says it all?
