Pie Insurance claim to have sold insurance to a Florida based company, who, they claim, failed to pay for the service, leaving them owing over $3000. Rather than pursue the Florida based company, they instead chose to harass a completely unconnected UK company that had a similar name. Despite having their error pointed out to them, they chose to continue the harassment by getting a debt recover company to do it! If you are thinking of using this company for cover just keep in mind how poor they are at the most simple of things. Why didn’t they get and verify the correct email address at the outset? Why do they continue to ignore the fact they’ve had this pointed out to them? Do they not have a phone book? Some stamps? If you do use them, it would seem you stand the risk of having your personal information shared with complete strangers who, I guess, just happen to have similar names. Do you really want your dirty laundry airing in public?
