Hello I'm a licensed general contractor. I reached out to Pie Insurance for workers comp insurance. First the website tried to redirect me to some commercial insurance company not Pie Insurance. Then I called to get clarification and the Pie agent who said his name was Dillian or Daniel and they do not write workers comp insurance for general contractors. Much to my surprise because they advertise on the Pie website that they do write contractors workers comp insurance. Beware of this company because what they advertise and what they tell you on the phone is false advertisement. Bait and switch trying to up sale potential clients to higher insurance rates. Hope this helps out anyone who has the same encounter. Response to Pie Insurance reply. I’ve been a licensed contractor since 1995. And I have never had a injury claim on any project I’ve done or been on. Pie Insurance is still not clarifying what is the criteria for contractors to obtain worker’s comp insurance. Or what is their standard conditions. As I said in my original review it’s a bait and switch operation. Look at Pie Insurance website of how they market to contractors. Beware prospective customers

This was my first audit with Pie Insurance and was much easier than other company's audits that we have dealt with in the past. Requested information was straight forward and required documents easy to provide. Data only needed to be entered once instead of repeated entries on multiple screens.

The most affordable WC insurance that I've had so far for a second year... Easy fixed monthly payments through my credit card. Easy audit and refund on overpayment... Nicest people to work with... and overall, easy as Pie :)

I would've given this 5 stars except for the fact that you're online audit won't accept excel spreadsheets for for wages. Also, my company does not pay quarterly taxes. Instead we pay them yearly and there was no way for me to enter the yearly audit even if i would've had it in a different form than excel. However, Nacy Sexton was extremely helpful as I was able to complete what I could on the online audit and email her my spreadsheet. So, I would give Nacy 5 stars and your online audit 4 stars.
