Found out about Yama Seafood about 4 years ago and finally found time to give them a try since I now have a Yanagiba. Ordered 2 different Salmon Toro(belly),1 Bluefin Otoro, and real wasabi - tubed. Delivery was spot-on, no complaints. Packaging was fantastic, ice cold, cushioned, and a dry-ice pack. Taste - Immaculate with the real wasabi. Paired very well with my homemade sushi rice to make nigiri Final thoughts - Will do this again but maybe go for Chutoro instead because the Otoro is very overpowering in fat and oil. Good experience though!

Fish was clearly high quality. It arrived on time and was taken from carrier immediately. Unfortunately one of the two bundles in the package was not frozen and was slimy and smelly and inedible at the time it arrived.

Michelin Quality Fish Yama provides seafood that is on par with what you can get in the best sushi restaurants in NYC. The customer service is also great. I order food from Yama whenever I want to give my friends the best culinary experience that I can. Almost all of them have said that it is the best sushi they have ever had.

I’ve been ordering from Yama for years both commercially and personally. They are the best there is. Quality is always top notch and packaging is always pristine and at the correct temperature. Being able to personally pick up the order and not worry about minimums or case sizes is perfect for small orders or making sushi at home.

Everything came neatly packaged and labeled. The fish was phenomenal. Better than you get at most sushi restaurants. Definitely doing a repeat order soon.

The shipping and the packaging were great! All tuna pieces as well as scallop were wonderful. The Hokkaido uni was not as great as expected (compared to the much cheaper Maine uni I ordered last time), but still very enjoyable.

Good products, good customer service, good delivery packaging. Bought 3lb fish and some other stuff for homemade sushi. Called and able to reschedule the delivery. The package was delivered on time, nice packaging. Packed with lots of ice packs 360 around the fish. Although some condensed water made the box quite wet, but I guess it’s unavoidable in a 90 degree summer day.
