United States | 31 March 2019BuyMyPod provided the highest offer. I enjoyed the ability to text the managers directly. I will recommend using their services.

United States | 29 March 2019I mailed an older iphone in on 3/22. I was very pleased with the accessibility of management when I needed assistance. The process was quick and the funds were sent to me through Zelle. Will recommend.

United States | 08 March 2019After reading several negative reviews, I was very skeptical to send in my iPod touch to BuyMyPod. However, the positive reviews that I read indicated that BuyMyPod intends to fully follow through with payment, but just seems to get heavily bogged down with requests. I also received the highest estimate price for my device from BuyMyPod, so I went with them. I sent my iPod touch in with an estimate of $100 from BuyMyPod. They received my device within a week. It took a few days to get paid, but I was paid the full estimate quickly and easily through Apple Pay. I was in contact with the owner, Matt, for the entirety of the transaction, mostly for my own comfort and reassurance. Matt was very friendly and professional and replied promptly to my messages over text. I would suggest that anybody looking into using BuyMyPod do the same if they are skeptical or hesitant about sending their device to them. Overall, I was very satisfied with my transaction with BuyMyPod and would definitely use it in the future to sell any other Apple products.

United States | 04 January 2019BuyMyPod received my Ipads on 9/29/18 and I didn’t get my payment until April 2019. I am revising my review to acknowledge Matthew who was honest and sent me my money in very timely basis once he was made aware of my previous bad review. I did receive the full amount. No problems.

United States | 07 November 2018Was quoted for $270 for items I sent in, but was issued a $158 check two months later with no response from BuyMyPod for the discrepency. I cashed the check anyway, but it bounced, charging me a $12 from my bank. BuyMyPod eventually got back to me after I left a negative review and resolved the situation by sending me money via Zelle. Overall, I'm satisfied with the experience because they made it right, but it took a long time and some negative reviews on my behalf to get the situation resolved.

United States | 22 October 2018The promises made about payment turnarounds is a huge problem and makes the business suspect, especially to new customers. But this obviously a small family ran company so I think as time goes by many improvements will be made.It was rough getting things straight in the beginning like communication and the timing of payments but I think the Owner means well and doesn’t intend to keep customers waiting.. So my rating is 3 not to discourage others from giving them business. I’m pretty sure things will improve as time and business grows. The biggest change they need to make is to remove all payment promises from their site and be truthful about turn around times. It’s impossible for them to promise everyone a 24 to 48 hr turnaround and stick to it. Larger companies like Gazelle do this effortlessly but smaller scale companies should be honest about the time needed to inspect devices and payout.

United States | 19 October 2018Very frustrated! I wish I had read the reviews before I sent my Ipod. He recieved my IPod August 23, 2018. I get a email apologizing for the delay in payment due to a hospital stay, OK I can be patient. On September 17, 2018 I received a check that BOUNCED!!! I have emailed him and requested the payment and the $30 bounce fee but have heard nothing back. Update: Within 20 minutes of sending Matthew Rosenfield a text he sent me $25 for my IPad, $5 more than we had agreed on and an additional $30 to cover my bank fee. Thank you Matt.

United States | 18 October 2018It was a challenge. In the end Matthew paid thru Zelle for both phones as advertised and my $15 returned check fee. It took about a month to resolve things. No response to emails, unanswered phone calls, returned check. Like I said things got sorted. I will give him another chance if he is still in business next time I have devices for trade in. Matthew said he spent some time in hospital. His business is going through an adjustment. Give him some time and stay in touch, he will settle things as he can.

United States | 16 October 2018Like many others, i too came to this site looking for company status after receiving a check that bounced. I also received response from Matthew Rosenfield by e-mail telling of hospital stay. And he said he'd pay through zelle this time. 10 days ago and I still didn't receive that. Saw a text number in another review and texted him today. He apologized again and arrange for electronic payment today. Received money (via zelle and paypal) while still texting, including $15 NSF check fee. Money in the bank! :) Keep trying...text worked for me...I think he's just overwhelmed at the moment.

United States | 05 October 2018Updated Status... 10/07/18 Finally paid 10/05/18. Took a while, but it finally went through. Still going to give it a few days to make sure it completely processes through with problems. I was trying to avoid having to write a review and give the owner a chance to make up for the bounced check and delayed payment. Item was delivered on August 29th and read that once received, payment would be issued in 72 hours. Almost a week later on 9/4/18, reached out to question about payment. The next day BuyMyPod informed me that the items weren’t in the condition that it was suppose to be and gave me a new price and once agreed she would process it that day. I agreed the same day and no response. Finally on 9/8/18 I messaged them and did not get a response. Now it’s 9/14/18 and still no response so I tried to reach out again. Finally the next day the owner reached out to update with the situation and I felt relieved that this was about to be all over. He did as he said and completed my order. Yesssss, I finally felt better about going with BuyMyPod instead of the other ones. But wait.... 9/24/18 I received check and deposited and truly thought it was over with. I was wrong. 9/26/18 was informed the check bounced! At first I didn’t know what happened since I’ve never had a check from a business bounce. The check bounced! IT BOUNCED!! Why? Why? Why? I couldn’t have been more upset. This is such a waste of time. Messaged immediately after and received a response the next day informing about the situation. Apology was given and was told that it will be taken care. Requested a money transfer since the first check bounced, so I’m not falling for that again. Provided info to do transfer, but nothing yet. Finally texted the owner today and was informed he will message me in 2 hours, but he did not, so I tried to email him (our usual form of communication), and was notified that mail delivery FAILED. Greattttttt!!! Reallyyyy??!?!? Another dilemma to encounter. Now it leads to this, a warning to everyone about selling your items to BuyMyPod. If it’s too good to be true, most likely it really is too good to be true. There’s others out there, don’t waste your time and effort. Listen to these reviews, I wish I did. :*(

United States | 03 October 2018UPDATED REVIEW : I just want to say that this company has a real human being behind it. And because we are human, things happen like sickness, etc.... Matthew the owner of BuyMyPod contacted me and explained that he has been having a bit of bad luck, so to speak. He was in the hospital for awhile as orders piled up, and then after that his merchant is holding something like 14K over his head, so its a real mess for him and he is sincerely trying to catch up and fix everything. I just want to say that I totally understand that these things happen and I really appreciate how he contacted me directly. He sent me $50, which is $10 more than I was originally quoted for, so he threw in a little extra for the inconvenience. Good man, good company. I will do business with them again in the future. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Old Review: I should have done my research on this company beforehand. I feel like a big idiot for sending my ipod. I hope I don't end up getting ripped off because I am a broke single mother and every penny counts. I sent that ipod so I could get extra money for things that I need for my baby - you know? I got a message on the 29th of September saying they received my package and were going to notify me after they were done processing. Its been 3 days now and I know for sure that I cleared the icloud and I factory reset it so there shouldn't be any issues trying to get it processed. I just think its ridiculous that they claim to pay you "fast" but they leave you hanging.... Still waiting.

United States | 29 September 2018UPDATED 10/3/18 Paid in full 10/3/18 via Apple Pay. Matthew included an extra $20 for my trouble. Would consider using By My Pod again. ORIGINAL REVIEW I sent them an iPhone 7+ after receiving an offer of $311 to be credited to my PayPal. Shipped via US Mail with their label, and my parcel entered their system in a timely manner. After waiting the allowed 72 hrs after BMP acknowledged receipt, on 9/27/18 I contacted the owner Matthew by email and he responded in just 35 minutes and said he would sort it out for me. Since then I have not been able to reestablish a conversation either by email or text. Keep in mind NC has recently been subject to a hurricaine, and there are any number of other reasons there can be delays in dealing with any company, large or small. I'm cautiously optimistic my case will be resolved soon, and am looking forward to that and assuming everything ends well with my PayPal being credited $311, I will gladly raise my rating and wouldn't rule out using them again. But for now it's gotta be a thumbs down instead of a smile.

United States | 24 September 2018BuyMyPod had has my Apple Watch since 9-11-18 and I have not been paid yet. I read some mixed reviews so I decided to take a chance. I’m not happy with their service and would not recommend to anyone. I’m still waiting to see if they pay me or if I need to request my watch back.

United States | 22 September 2018I sent my iPod in and according to their website it was received 9/12. The website says that they will make payment within 72 hours of receiving the device but it's 9/22 and my status is still "delivered" and not complete. An effort to contact BuyMyPod via phone connected me to an out-of-service phone number. Tried submitting a question regarding the status of my order and I haven't received any emails. Update; Matt did get back to me regarding this order and rectified the issue so I changed my rating.

United States | 18 September 2018It's been over 2 weeks since I sent in 2 iPhone 6's. Confirmation that they were delivered and nothing to show for it. I've tried emailing every day for about 4 days and nothing. I'm getting very upset and am looking into my legal options for either getting paid or getting my devices returned. Would not recommend at this point. There is no excuse for not reaching out to provide any type of update. UPDATE: I was able to finally get in touch with Matthew. Very pleasant! As others had mentioned, he was in the hospital and had just gotten out. He was very behind on all of his orders but took the time to sort mine out of the pile. I no longer needed to worry about the status of my shipped devices as Matthew sent compensation via PayPal. Given the unfortunate events in Matthew's life and his ability to bounce back and still provide this service, I've changed my review to 4 stars. Had it not been for the communication gap, I'd have given him a 5. One suggestion would be to offer additional communication after the devices arrive. "We're working on your order", "We're having a bit of a problem with your order but will have it worked out in no time" things like that. It was very stressful sending out what cost me over $2K (when new) and putting my trust in someone else. Had there been some other communication measures put in place, it would have been much less stressful. Overall...THANK YOU Matthew!!! Hope you feel better!!!

United States | 13 September 2018My experience was a little different than most individuals. I had a bulk order and some of the phones had some reset issues. Matthew reached out directly to me and sent the phones back so that I could fix the issue and return. Since not all of the phones were returned, I sent an email requesting payment for the ones the company still had. Matthew again reached out, even while in the hospital, to make sure the funds were sent right away (due to this being a long delay). I believe that Matthew’s business ethics outweigh any issues that we ran into in this transaction, and it’s hard to find a company like that these days!

United States | 12 September 2018The company's website says they pay within 24 hours of receiving your device. It has now been 4 weeks since they received my device, I haven't received any communication at all in the last 2 weeks (not even a response to my emails) and I haven't received payment. Update: only after posting this review did I get a response and payment. I advised the owner to communicate with his customers (we shouldn’t have to send emails for 2 weeks because we’re not receiving responses) and stop guaranteeing payment within 24 hours if they can’t do that. With 4 employees, I would expect at least one person to update me on the situation.

United States | 12 September 2018Update: After posting the negative review below, I was contacted by the owner of the company from his hospital bed! He explained what happened to cause the check to bounce and paid me cash via Apple Pay. He made me whole for both the sale of the iPod and the bank fee for the bounced check. I now recommend BuyMyPod wholeheartedly with no reservation. I sent in an iPod and a couple weeks later received a check for $29 which was what I was expecting. However, when I deposited the check in my bank it bounced for "Non Sufficient Funds." So not only am I out the $29 but the bank charges $12 for bounced checks. So, it cost me $12 to "sell" them my iPod.

United States | 15 August 2018Initially I was skeptical about using this company to sell my 2 iphones as I have never heard of them before but they really came through. They are a small family owned business that is very attentive when it comes to emails and responses. The only thing I would recommend would be better phone support but the promptness of the emails makes up for that. I will do business with them in the future and recommend you sell your electronics to them since they seem to pay a lot more than these other sites I see out there.

United States | 22 May 2018Company advertises that you'll receive payment 24hours after they receive your device. 72 hours later I contacted the company and they said my device was not in the condition I stated it was in though I felt it was within the description they provided. The came back with an offer $32 dollars lower than the initial offer. I felt this was a really low ball offer and countered with 1 step down from the initial offer which was $21 lower than the initial. 2 business days later I inquired again and they sent me the payment.
