United Kingdom | 14 August 2023If I could give less than 1 star I would, I don’t know how this “company” is still trading. Looked at a Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian reg (LS11 VPO). Picked the truck up from Danny who very aggressively tried to sell us an extra warranty of £300 that we didn’t want. Drove the truck back to the midlands then the problems started, over heating, bellowing black smoke and the worst thing fumes escaping into the cab. Luckily for us we were still within 45 days to reject car with a one time opportunity to repair, Danny in between puffing on his vape told us to take it to a local approved garage, and that he would reimburse us, where they tried to fix it but it was beyond repair paid £600 Danny said he would reimburse £200 of it back in December obviously still waiting for it, the truck was collected as it was dangerous to drive. We were constantly fobbed off for 6 months when eventually it was ready for collection they kept us waiting nearly 2 hours, I asked for proof of work done Danny said that would be a further wait of 2 to 3 hours and we had to leave with the truck straight away because we were in the way. After refusing to leave without the proof Danny sent basic e.mail with the alleged repairs. Drove the truck for 10 minutes with black smoke billowing out of the back and the heat from the engine burning our legs. Took it straight back, Danny called us liars and took it for a drive with the technician and myself, tried to make excuses for the obvious problems, the technician agreed with us that it was not fit for the road, we rejected the car and with a lot of help from the finance company we got our money back but they made it an extremely difficult process. This truck is back up for sale on their website it is completely un roadworthy in our opinion please avoid if you don’t want to loose money.

United Kingdom | 13 August 2023I would NEVER recommend this company to anybody! I put down a deposit on an Audi Q5 (the 60 plate that’s still for sale!!!) to be told they had to wait for a key to be delivered, I waited numerous of weeks with no contact from them. I explained i was going away and needed the car as I was not able to drive my car and Danny PROMISED me the car would be sorted, before then, even though Danny quite clearly told me he couldn’t get hold of anyone from the key company so how he could promise this I will never know. The day before I go away I was told the key had turned up and it would be going through the service and the MOT ASAP I then was told the car wouldn’t be ready for another few days. I was very frustrated at this point as I had to hire a car which left me £300 out of pocket. I go away for a week phoned them and they said it still had to go through the MOT however the person who does the MOT’s phoned in sick so it would not be done today. I then had a look at the MOT history only to find out in deed it had gone through the MOT a week before however failed on numerous of things! (I was now very frustrated 6 weeks on still no car) when I confronted Tommy about the MOT he didn’t have an answer as to why I was lied to however ensured me the parts would be ordered that day. I asked Tommy to get one of the owners to call me I am still waiting!! I was then told the car would be ready by Monday guess what Tuesday came and the car was still not ready! Needless to say I didn’t go ahead with the car down to the lies who knows what would have gone wrong with the car, especially going by previous reviews on here. I find it very ironic that on the website one of their values clearly state “honesty- behaving fair, truthfully and morally upright”. They very clearly lied to me, they have left me £300 out of pocket and they made promises that they couldn’t keep. I do have to say Tommy was very empathetic with the situation Danny however clearly needs some training on customer service !!!

United Kingdom | 17 July 2023I came and put a deposit down and was very happy with Danny, the salesman, and his services. However, i wasn't offered to test drive it as there was no coolant in it and needed a repair. I was assured it would be fixed before the completion of the sale. The same day, we had a family financial emergency, which meant I would be unable to purchase the car. Now I understand the terms of a contract. I'm not stupid. However, considering it was LESS than 24 hours since the deposit, I thought as they are a family run business, they would be compassionate and refund us due to our circumstances. I was wrong. I know everyone needs to earn a living, but the car probably wasn't even moved on touched in that time, so it wasn't like they had lost money by prepping it. Especially with the cost of living these days and the fact we called so soon to explain. No compassion with this 'family run' business. Wouldn't recommended. Also, their website depicts you can have a 14-day cooling off period with a full refund, but only if you buy a car over the phone, which isn't clearly explained on their website. Careful reading is advised. And before horsepower comes back with a response, I am fully aware how a contract works. It's a shame as I know bigger dealerships would have refunded no issue. You also didn't tell us their was an admin fee either. I'll advise people to use bigger more well known dealerships such as Ford, kia and VW as their customer service seems to be not only more professional but as I've said, more compassionate towards people's ever changing circumstances. In hindsight, I'm glad it's just the deposit I've lost and not the full amount, and after speaking to others who have purchased from this garage, it seems incredibly unreliable.

United Kingdom | 12 July 2023I found the car I was looking for at Horsepower. The sale support was excellent and the honesty during the sale process was refreshing. I collected the car from the Horsepower office after it had been given a full service and clean. The only minor issue was moss on the exterior glass. Interior spotless. I have been driving the car for 3 months and have had no mechanical problems.

United Kingdom | 11 July 2023The vehicle that I purchased is still being shown on the website ad available to buy. Need to update the website more often. Looked at several vehicles on the site only to be told they were already sold, before buying the Honda Jazz.

United Kingdom | 07 July 2023I traveled over 200 miles for the car. The day after I got the car home it overheated. Horsepower asked me to get it recovered back to them. They did say they would pay. I called the RAC for diagnosis and recovery. On inspection theRAC man said it was a common fault and would cost approx £60 to fix. I told horsepower and they said they would cover the costs. After getting the car fix I informed horsepower and told them the invoice total (£60). They asked for the invoice to be made out to them.I told them I had already paid the bill. This was the last I heard from them. 1 star review for the cost of £60 pound well done horsepower.

United Kingdom | 23 June 2023I did not know anything about cars and I bought a Kia, after two weeks it was leaking oil and switching off whilst driving, and squeaky brakes. I requested them to fix the car which they agreed to, after a month the car was smoking ,bad injector’s, damaged turbo, oil leak, bad engine, difficult to start 4 times every week, switching off whilst driving. I texted one of the workers if they could help me sell it but did not respond and I accepted my fate. Just ensure you take the car to a mechanic before using it as you may end up buying faulty car like I did. My review is only for the purpose of enlightens other people who lacks knowledge around car Thank you

United Kingdom | 17 March 2023DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. SELL PEOPLE FAULTY CARS, DONT HONOUR THE WARRANTY THEY SUPPLY, AND DONT RESPOND TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. Update as of 28/03/23 Still no response from anyone @horsepower, even after multiple attempts. Obviously by refusing to respond, they knew the amount of issues there is with the car. Car is still under its 90day warranty supplied from horsepower. Car has now been inspected by Audi and is going to cost just over 9k to put right. I paid over 12k to horsepower for it, a supposed QA car with 104 checks...... Case has now been raised with Trading standards and sourcing a solicitor to take matters further....!!!! Where do I start? Danny from horsepower seems like a stand up really nice bloke....Well...... I bought a supposed Quality Assured audi q7 that had 104 pre-checks done before sale and came with a 3 month warranty for over £12,000 on the 30th of December 2022. Drove back to Scotland, and by the next day noticed an oil leak. Spoke to Danny in the new year.as he had sold me the car and was told to take to my local garage for a quote. Sump plug was leaking, had sealant around it to try and top it leaking. Replaced and was reimbursed by horse power, so I am thinking great, sorted. However leak continued, tried calling numerous times as well as emails, but got no response. Managed to eventually get it into a local garage, and to my horror, there are multiple issues within the engine and sealant has been used to try and mask the issues within. So, either 104 checks werent carried out as stated which is fraud, or they are the ones that used the sealent to mask the leaks or if not they would most definitely have been noted during the 104 checks so they knowingly sold this car which was not as advertised, which again is fraud. When I Managed to eventually get a response from Danny at last, who said he "wasn't ignoring me, just very, very busy" and that he would be intouch with me on Monday 13/02/2023 as he needed to speak to the owner. No call or email received. I have called numerous times now and emailed numerous times, but no response and I am just being ignored. I am now paying for a full inspection to be carried out to use as evidence for trading standards and will be going down legal avenues as the vehicle has been fraudulently sold and is not as described. I will be very shocked going by the faults listed if it is even roadworthy, which has not only put myself, but also my children in danger. Have only had the vehicle a matter of weeks with issues the day after buying it, and I havent even put a 2000miles on it yet. Nice to see how this company treats Military Veterans..... Steer clear and don't take the chance, especially if you dont live locally. I am looking forward to flying down at the end of the month to speak to them face to face, about this, but in the meantime, as I am being purposely ignored, I am.going down the route of seeing if the local papers in Kent would be interested in writing an article about this shambles, whilst I start getting all the evidence together for legal action/trading standards. LETS SEE IS HORSEPOWER WILL ACTUALLY REPLY TO THIS REVIEW....
