United Kingdom | 24 June 2022I was recommended Horsepower by friends after a bad experience last year at another local garage.Horsepower welcomed me in and explained the problems with my car,sent a video to my computer showing the corrosian to my brakes before repairing them.I will be returning in October for my MOT.

United Kingdom | 24 June 2022Disgusting I appreciate the fact that the garage has too make a profit however I feel completely robbed and have 4 tryes that need replacing soon on a new purchase and also ive had a set of front brake pads fitted due too constant squealing along with some other issues which total many thousands of pounds not acceptable on a vehicle you've only just bought and on advice from my finance company I'm giving the car back immediately

United Kingdom | 20 June 2022Absolutely the worst service I have ever encountered. Mega issues on car and the dealer would not offer anything as a good will gesture. I can’t stress how disappointed I am and now we have a car bought under 6 months ago that is worthless. So far the clutch failed within a few months, now the gearbox has failed, engine management light on and much more issues than this. I have never had such poor service and no willingness to resolve.

United Kingdom | 15 June 2022Where do I start. I guess alarm bells should have rung when they told me I could collect the car a week later once they had fixed the rear driver side door. On the day before (after I had changed my insurance and bought tax for the new Mercedes) they called me to tell me it wouldnt be ready as the part hadnt arrived. It was coming from Euro car parts and would be delivered in the post the next day (I know euro do not send in the post, so something fishy there), the next day, being a Saturday. I was assured the car would be ready on the Monday. I had to call them to find out it was still not ready, (no courtesy call from them) but would be the next day. So, I arranged for a temporary insurance to cover my current car to get it to them. Guess what. Not ready again. I drove my car over to them anyhow as I had arranged the temp cover, so they had this ready for my part exchange (PX for a warranty really not worth the documents they are, errr, printed on or emailed across, so please do not fall for this one either). So what delight would I be driving home instead of my Merc???? Chevrolet Matiz no less! But at least I had a run around. I left it another day before calling them. Sure enough, it was ready this time. SO finally, I have my new car!! A few days later, the first Christmas light appeared. Engine management light after it went to Mercedes for its airbag recall. This was cam position sensor.......not sounding too good. They agreed to take it back and take look. So, apparently, according to their "master technician", Mercedes cars store previous error codes on the ECU, so when the battery is disconnected, it throws them up again (odd?). They plugged it into their STAR reader and cancelled the code and could find nothing further wrong with the car. I asked for a copy of the read out and the works they had carried out. This does not appear to be common practice with them and instead sent me a brief email with what they supposedly had done and assured me it was fine and to bring it back to them if the fault appeared again. On the third week of owning my dash board gave to me..... another EML. This time for something different. Considering I had only owned the car for around 3 weeks or so, it seemed to gravitate towards them like a homing pigeon. They agreed to again take it back and look at it. Whilst it was their I asked if the "master technician" could check out the knocking noise I had coming from the near side. I am fully aware this is mechanical fault and would be happy to pay for any subsequent repairs. They replaced the sensor for me which was very much appreciated. I asked about the knocking noise, which they said they couldn't find anything after taking for a test drive (must be jingle bells I can hear). Again, I asked for a copy of the works carried out as I like to keep all my paper work with my cars. Again, just another brief email saying what had been done. the noise is still there and I guess I will need to get this looked at myself. Now to today and ding dong merrily on are you kidding me! EML again. What code I her you say.... cam shaft position sensor fault, the very same code that apparently would have only come on when the battery had been disconnected as it was a historic code. I can assure you all, I have not disconnected the battery. Will I give the car back to them? Will I hell. I will now take this car to my local independent garage for them to sort and pay for this rather than leave it in their hands as they are clearly incompetent not only from a sales perspective, but also a mechanical one also. Horsepower also offer private mechanical work and MOT & servicing. I would not trust them in any way shape or form and would not recommend them. Please steer clear of them as there are plenty of other traders who will gladly take your money and give you a far greater service than these cowboys who clearly do not check the cars they aquire before punting them on to unsuspecting motorists. READ REVIEWS PEOPLE!!

Service staff are really knowable, helpful and approachable...unlike many main dealer and tyre centre staff! Great value MOT and service, no nasty surprises at payment time, lots of advice freely given. Another important factor is they care for your car like it's their own.
