United Kingdom | 29 September 2022NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY! On the 4th September 2021 i went to Horsepower to purchase a Mini Clubman. I had spoken with Danny on the phone and he was able to send over a video of the car, in the video o noticed a rather loud 'ticking' noise but was advised that was 'normal' for a mini. I went to the store for a viewing of the car and Danny took me out on a test drive and showed me around the vehicle. After a quick little test drive i noticed the car was leaking coolant which i pointed out to Danny, and was leaking from the radiator. I SHOULD'VE WALKED AWAY AT THIS POINT! Danny agreed to repair the vehicle before purchase (as you would expect) and as an extra piece of mind advised that i should purchase the extended warranty, which i did. It took a week before the car was ready for collection. On the day of collection i picked up the car, and drove it round the corner and parked up to reposition my seat. whilst parked up literally round the corner from Horsepower the car started to emit a lot of white/grey smoke from the exhaust. I promptly phoned Danny and he asked us to return so the mechanics could check it out, which we did. After an hour and a half wait, i was told the car was fine and that the smoke was 'normal' after the amount of work they had carried out on the car and would subside in time. I took their word for it and left with the car, however after a 40 mile journey the car was still emitting huge clouds of white smoke, so i took a video of it as soon as i had arrived back home as proof just in case anything was to fail in the future. A couple of months later the car developed a small oil leak so i took it to my local garage where they explained that the ticking noise of the car was a failing timing chain and that the smoke was caused by failing valve stem oil seals. They advised that the timing chain alone would cost over £1200 to fix and that my warranty would only cover me for £1000 something that Danny had failed to mention and when i contacted him regarding the issues with the car admitted he himself did not know this! Danny passed on my case to his manager Peter, well Now this is when Horsepower began to really show its true colours, despite Danny's inability to resolve or even attempt to resolve my case, he was at least enough of a decent person to talk to me like a fellow human I wish the same could be said about Peter, what an absolute disgrace to the company he is, shouting at me down the phone interrupting my every word and making up rubbish excuses as to why he wouldn't even look into my case despite all of my evidence, his main excuse being the mileage i had done in the car was just under 8,000 (now correct me if im wrong here as i am no expert but aren't cars meant to be driven!?!). To cut a long story short after months of battling and despite all my evidence Horsepower are refusing to fix the car stating that the damage in the videos is 'within normal levels' showing that they are happy to sell broken cars providing its within their normal levels- worrying statement from a company. They don't even have the decency to refund the miss-sold warranty. So if you are looking at purchasing a car from this company save yourself the trouble and buy a car from a scrappy, it will be in the same condition but at least they have the common courtesy to not lie to your face about the condition of the car!

A few niggles needed sorting out so I phone Danny at horsepower and straight away I was in safe hands . Danny arranged for my car to be picked up at my address and a courtesy car was left for me to use. Everything that needed to be done was done without question and in a very good time frame. I can’t praise Danny enough for his no nonsense approach to car sales and aftercare. He really is a breath of fresh air in a industry that hasn’t got the best reputation. So if you need a car I recommend going to see Danny at horsepower tonbridge.

It is pretty obvious he enjoys his job. He wanted to help in any way, even replying to WhatsApp communication after working hours if needed. I bough a car from the dealership, without a viewing and on Danny's description as we live out side the Uk and wanted it importing. The car arrived, exactly as described , in fact even nicer condition. I have been a company director for many years, and can honestly say , these guys run a business that delivers exactly what it should. Honest. reliable and a pleasant business environment. I wish all businesses operated like these do. If you want a superb worry free deal for your next vehicle , use these. They really care about there customers. My opinion is they went beyond my needs and my vehicle was handed over giving me confidence it was managed well and in full. Sales process was well managed too. If I have to make any recommendation for comment - the showroom needs some Customer Parking allocation but this is a product of their stock holding and success. I will go back next time.

Inside had not been valeted. 1 key not working and tow pack had been removed. Decals missing from rear of car and still waiting for them. I feel their service has gone down hill. Update: had several issues with car and they dealt with it immediately and even offered a courtesy car if needed. Decals now sorted.

United Kingdom | 31 July 2022I have owned my new car now for about 6 months and everything is fine. However when I purchased the car I agreed an exchange price with the salesman for my old car. I paid the full amount, car tax etc, almost £10k, and was about to drive off in my new car when the owner, Roberto, decided on a whim not to take my car in part exchange. He said that there was a fault on my car that I was unaware of. This meant selling my car on WeBuyAnyCar.com and returning days later to collect my new car. Had I been told in advance that he would not take my car in part exchange that would have been fine, but to change his mind after the deal had been signed and paid for was incredible. I have waited months to leave this review but basically I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, absolutely atrocious service!!!!

I have had some mixed experiences with purchasing/selling cars in the past (like most) and I can put my hand on heart and say this has been the smoothest and by far the best, all thanks to Danny. He was constantly available to talk to me, helping me find the best deal and answering my silly questions, even after the sale he continues to go above & beyond his call of duty to help me. United Kingdom | 12 July 2022I part my car for Mercedes’ E250 came with new mot and I Danny to put 40 pounds of fuel for when I collect the car no joy got home fuel light came on and had steering pull to near side took car to garage rang their warranty not covered brake pads front and rear 80to 90 %warn ok on mot tyre wall had cracks spoke to Danny break pads ok on mot test after that wrote review no reply car cost another £1900 after 2 weeks I am still waiting call from the manager o/f seat cover was parrished which I had get repaired it’s near two years still waiting for phone call from the manager never again rubbish after sales sevice
