United Kingdom | 15 January 2022The experience itself was great - easy parking; lovely nurse administering the test (she's the only reason for more than one star); very quick and efficient; certificate came through in less than half an hour. However, on examining the certificate, I discovered that an error had been made: the time recorded for the result was BEFORE the time shown for the test being taken. I tried phoning the centre immediately, but there was no reply (this was after 7pm). As I was due to be on a plane to the US at 1125 the following morning, I couldn't risk relying on a certificate with a mistake on it, as US immigration were bound to spot it and quite possibly deny me entry. So I had to book and pay for another test at the airport for the following morning. I then e-mailed Medwyn OH to ask for a refund of the fee I paid to them, as it had been a complete waste of money. 48 hours later, I still haven't had a reply... Following receipt of reply below, I am upgrading from 2 to 3 stars, but I didn't receive the acknowledgement of my e-mail on the Weds evening, so had no way of knowing that anyone was looking into the problem that night and had no choice but to book another test.

When I heard from the lab that they couldn't provide a result, the Medwyn clinic where I had the test was closed so this left me with very little time to get another, more expensive, same-day test elsewhere, without which I could not have gone on holiday. I emailed the clinic that evening asking for a refund and some recompense for the extra expense incurred. The next day, after I had had the second test I had a phone call from them saying they would not give compensation. 10 days later, I have not even had a refund for the cost of their failed test.
