The parts were manufactured according to specs. The surface finish, however, was not as indicated. For other orders we have also experienced some difficulties obtaining the right surface finish. 3DHubs was however very cooperative in trying to solve them.

3D Hubs is my go to source for client projects that require HP MJF nylon. I recently had a reproduction made of a brass sconce from a large wood antique piece. The goal was to duplicate the look of a matching piece. The antique originally had two, one was missing. I designed a new one based on taking dimensions form the original, optimized it for performance vs cost. The finished piece will receive a faux finish treatment by the restorer to replicate brass. I’ve also used 3D hubs to complete 500 of a small part at a price that allowed me to make a good profit with timely delivery.

I've used 3dhubs since about 2015, with more than 50 orders. Most of my items are prototypes, not volume items. For my work 3dhubs is a great way to get access to the latest printer technology, at much less cost than purchasing! I'm so excited by access to SLS technology as my designs often have many, many support requirements, and SLS removes all that! And at a cost very favorable to purchasing! The resin printing is also always first rate, and again my designs have a lot of fine details in the object surface, and the selected print shops have been able to print well and accept guidance to avoid any and all supports which might mark a textured surface So my rating is due to a) access to the latest tech, b) accepting guidance regarding supports, and c) prototype cost (qty 3-10) well below buying my own printer every year!!
