United States | 19 January 2024I have a couple of loans through them. Rates and everything were good. My car broke down, so I canceled the insurance on it for 2 months while it got fixed. I still made the payments on the car. Without any calls or anything, they had a very expensive insurance thing to my loan and doubles my payment. I tried calling a few times and got basically no answers for awhile. I made my normal car payments every month, but now my credit shows 6 months of missed payments, and they are no help. I’m in the midst of trying to get a new loan through them, and it takes more than 24 hours for them to respond to each email reply. Slowest process I’ve been apart of when it comes to a loan.

United States | 02 January 2024I've never had a bad experience with altra until they added $3300 to my auto loan and doubling my monthly payment which i cant afford and with no notice so I can fix my auto insurance!! Something so simple to fix and instead of giving me notice I get screwed! So thank you altra!

United States | 01 January 2024Currently, Altra has an issue with their remote mobile deposit banking app that "only affects a small amount of certain Android users". I found out this "small amount" is about 35% of their users. Altra elected not put a splash banner out on their website notifying affected users of this issue. The only way I found out was when I attempted to deposit a check. I do not live in state and have limited ways to deposit a check remotely. I depend on this feature and the transparency from the credit union to notify me of when there's an issue that could potentially affect me. This has been going on for at least a month and they might have a fix in place sometime this month. How will I know when it's fixed? I just have to keep trying until it finally works. I'm currently shopping for a new deposit financial institution.

United States | 22 December 2023Kwik Trip doesn't charge a fee to use its ATM, but Altra has to tack on a fee. That stinks. First of all, Altra's Onalaska location is terrible. Tricky to enter the lot and tricky to exit the lot because of traffic and the crazy way so many people drive. I asked for an ATM location at the Oak Forest location, but my request was ignored. So to circumvent Altra's lack of concern for me, I simply get $500 of 20s so I have a supply of change on hand. There are numerous financial institutions in the area and I'm shopping.
