I dislike the display of people in my tree. Such as suggesting other spouses or alternative parents and names for people when I have records in my tree to support the entries on my tree. It is ridiculously fiddly and time consuming to reject the suggestions. When I add a record it is displayed as a new fact rather than be attached to existing fact in tree. I then have to change the preferred fact and delete the other fact. So frustrating.

Ease of use. I get to see the original transcript in most cases.. as well as the transcribed

Excellent record collection and easy-to-use search facility with great ability on advanced search to use wild cards and filters.

It's easy to register but more importantly it's easier to cancel. Some sites require you to phone a number in order to cancel and this is not at all a satisfactory condition. However, this site is genuine and is easy to join and exit. Certainly have a wealth of material. Only quibble is that the detailed searches could provide better results. Sometimes when invited to put in a keyword it does not produce the required response. I found this out after eventually finding my ancestor (after throwing through hundreds of potential leads) whereas the correct 'keyword' produced nothing. In summary I think this site is better than most others

Not happy that you have to pay extra for 1921 census,

Absolutely amazing

Discovering new relative from recent releases of information and also discovering living relatives as well. The vast amount of information ensures that Findmypast is one of the top genealogical sites.

Easy to find what i need

I used to subscribe but stopped due to cost and never finding any relevant records. Recently they offered a free 7 day trial so I decided to check them out again. Now I can upload my family tree (Gedcom-w/o media) and I found lots of records I hadn't previously seen. They provide detailed transcripts but I couldn't access the actual record.

I don't use FMP much as I have few UK relatives and have exhausted searches amongst Irish records (and not just those on FMP). I will continue to monitor uploads to FMP and will rejoin when any new records look promising.

I am supposed to be on a seven day free trial but a bill keeps popping up. Also I have supplied all the data on my family tree with very little input from your company. Thanks I wish to unsubscribe.

Often stating close app and restart quite annoying

Excellent family history site with a great range of features and access to lots of records. I have found the site very useful in my research and have been using it for many years. Highly recommended

I really like this site, it’s easy to use and has a lot of records. I’ve had a membership on there a few times in the past but can only be on one site at a time due to cost. If it were cheaper I would definitely sign up again.

I'm a long time Ancestry member - took advantage of the Findmypast special offer - enjoyed the graphics and the information/my tree comparison - found Findmypast look and feel more user friendly and the graphics more pleasing

Easy to manage and navigate. All records I looked for were easy to find.

I like being able to research Irish records from abroad. I appreciated the free trial. Too many Irish records need to be paid for. Unfortunately, I did not find any further records to add to what I already had. I have hit a roadblock when searching my paternal Bernard ancestors in Ireland.
