FindmyPast has a good selection of historical data. This is fairly easily accessible.

I have always had success with what I am researching from Find My Past. It was the only site where I found that an ancestor had deserted from the army.

site is easy to use. Information is relevant in most cases or opens up new lines of enquiry

I find the site difficult to navigate, having to keep going back to the start. The are also large gaps in the 1939 register were my parents and family are not listed anywhere in the UK

Findmypast has been very helpful in assisting me in learning who are my ancestors. The experience has been very rewarding and easier than I expected. Whether a newcomer like myself or experienced you will Findmypast a very useful tool.

Newspaper articles on Findmypast show our ancestors had problems we were not aware of, like my grandmother Ellen Kennedy taken to court for leaving a light on in 1941 during a WW2 blackout. She was fined twenty shillings .

Signed up for a free 7-day trial with the subscription that grants access to the 1921 census. Access is denied during the trial period. To view an image from the census costs £2.50 and another £2.50 for a transcription if required. That may not be much to some people, but too expensive for a pauper like me. Shame.

I believe a good service is provided, however, a more explainitive and cheaper introduction for new people, who may be willing to pay for the service, would be an advantage. The free 7 days introduction, does not work, as you must pay for another option at the same time. Thanks for your reply, however you must still pay for a subscription to get your 7 day free trial. Why not just give a 3 or 7 day free trial, no strings attached. Thanks for your reply Thanks.

Fantastic service, easy to use and find your relatives. Just extraordinarily expensive, unless you use it for your work and can justify the expense.

The availability of the newspaper archive and the 1921 census are my main reasons for returning. I am less happy with some of the changes to the way in which the family tree can be revised.

Free weekend, and wanted to try it out, but only had a few hours left so I really couldn't see what was available. Did not seem to offer anything to further my research in my very short time on your site. Maybe it is good...but Since then you have been sending me hints I either already have or which are totally unrelated to my research. So based on the (way too frequent) emails you keep sending, it doesn't seem like you have anything I might need. It's annoying and none of the 'hints' are helpful. At this point I'm leaning into the delete before opening strategy. Hoping this is helpful for your marketing team.
