United States | 26 November 2024I love how easy it is to use - no issues with filters/hoses/etc. Only problem was hinge broke on my So Clean 2 so I have to close it by pushing the front in first then pushing down on the back. Hopefully they fix this issue on future production.

United States | 16 October 2024The lid hinges on my SoClean 2 have failed again. I called the company and after being forced to give them all of my information before they would help me, the person informed me that there is no lid replacement part available and I would have to buy a new machine. This is classic designed obsolescence. They create a lid with substandard thin plastic hinges, and when they fail, the company gets to sell another very expensive machine. I will seek another cleaning method for my cpap mask, etc.

United States | 13 February 2024Ordered a SoClean 3 for my husband's CPAP machine for Christmas and they refuse to take it back because it's beyond the 30 days. Besides it being past the 30 days (Christmas Gift), Reliable Respiratory told us that the SoClean machine would void the warranty of his CPAP machine, and SoClean offered to send us an attachment for the machine that will not void the warranty. My husband doesn't like the smell that occurs after using SoClean and I told them I prefer to return it. They will not accept a return for a refund. I would avoid buying these SoClean machines at all costs!

United States | 28 August 2023I was so excited to get this machine. The concept is great and the company is fairly local to me. I was happy to support it and the local jobs. I had trouble, almost immediately, with the power supply. If I unplugged it from the machine and wall and the plugged it back in it would eventually work. After several months of “playing” with it I call the company. It appears it was a known issue with the power supply and they sent me a new one. The new one didn’t work for very long. I’ve called back and they won’t send another power supply, of course they say I can buy one. I can’t believe they don’t stand behind their product. It’s very disappointing! I’ve been using the same CPAP machine this entire time with no issues. They sold me a piece of medical equipment that is faulty I’m very disappointed to see they won’t stand behind their product. I am looking for alternatives and will tell anyone who is interested not to purchase from SoClean.

United States | 02 June 2023I bought SoClean about 2-3 years ago to clean my CPAP machine. I subscribed to their their 6-month-re-supplying service, which included a Filter Cartridge inside SoClean, and a small plastic black tube that connects the water chamber to SoClean. I pay $27.03 bi-annaully. This worked for the old CPAP but now I have a new updated CPAP which doesn't allow that small plastic tube to connect to the water chamber. I can only clean the mask with the white tubing. So, I thought I call soClean and ask them not to send me the plastic little black tube anymore since I do not need it, just the filter cartridge, hoping for a discount. I spoke to a customer service tech, whom I hardly understood because he did not know how to explain things, and he had hard time understanding what I was saying in plain English! It turned out, and after having the guy repeat things 10 times, that for the new CPAP I need an adapter that costs $15 with shipping. However, this adapter only temporarily cleans the water chamber therefore, since they have not figure out how to clean the newest CPAPs. Still, the Filter Cartridge you place inside the soClean machine comes as a package with that little plastic black tube that you don't need. SoClean will not break this package to give you a discount even though you only going to use the filter not the little plastic thing which is useless and you only use it for the trash can! Therefore, you will have to pay $27.03 for the filter (and small plastic tube) and $15 for the adapter! $42.03 for supplies?! That's what I gathered from this customer service person. Is this fair? No, this is called piracy and taking advantage of customers. I stopped the subscription of supplies and might not use the SoClean machine again. Very bad service.

United States | 09 February 2023Dangerous machine. It seemed ok but after using it a couple years, it could have killed me. The little rubber piece that goes into the CPAP cup does not hold up in the water. It puts black plastic in the water you are breathing. My skin was irritated & shortness of breath but it took me quit a while to realize it was the so clean. 4 weeks After antibiotics and an inhaler I feel better but still coughing. Buyer beware! Update. It's now April 2023 & I am still having breathing issues.

United States | 15 January 2023So far I'm giving it 3 stars. Haven't used it enough to know if it works but the set up directions, such as they are, are frustrating and next to useless. I finally tossed them aside and hoped for the best. Seems to be working... And yes, you still have to manually clean stuff so it's not the miracle cleaner I was hoping for!

United States | 30 December 2022I have had my SoClean 2 for over a year. I purchased it on the recommendation of a local medical devices store where I got my ResMed AirSense 10. My CPAP is now whining loudly sometimes at night, so I discovered an issue after talking with the dealer. She asked if I had a SoClean, and I told her yes, and she said it was the cause of motor seals and bearings failing, due to Ozone, and to get rid of it. She told me that Phillips, another mfg of CPAP machines, was forced to recall their machines because they were failing because of ozone. Interestingly the last time I looked at my water tray I noticed that it had yellowed everywhere it was exposed to the ozone. So now I am out not only the SoClean, but $1000 for a new CPAP. Be warned.

United States | 19 October 2022I wish I could give them minus 10 stars. This is the most unprofessional operation you will ever see. I ordered SoClean 3 version and paid a fortune for it. When it was delivered, it would not work. When I called, I was told I was sent a defective unit and that it would need to be replaced if I could just return it and they will send me a new one. New one arrived. Guess what?? Is suffers from the same defect that cannot be fixed so I have to return that unit and get a new one! What kind of company does that? Why would a company not test a unit before sending it out?? What kind of a company would then a second unit with the same exact defect? I am looking for alternatives now to clean my sleep apnea equipment.

United States | 23 September 2022I had been using a SoClean machine with my Philips CPAP machine but recently stopped and called SoClean to return two unopened filters. The pure focus of this unsatisfactory review, however, has only to do with the company's Customer Service communication following my call to them. When calling the company, even before speaking with a rep, you are asked if they can contact you AFTER your conversation with a satisfaction survey. I indicated my willingness to receive such a call back. After a short wait, I was able to speak with a customer service agent and asked about returning 2 unused, unopened filters. While I was unhappy that my request was denied, I nevertheless understood their strict adherence to their company policy. The call was ended. A minute later my phone rang and the recorded voice from SoClean said this was a follow-up call. However, instead of ANY opportunity to respond to survey questions, the recorded message was a thank-you for contacting SoClean and an abrupt, "Good bye". This was a crystal clear message that they had absolutely no interest in any likely NEGATIVE feedback. It is no wonder that the company is not certified by the Better Business Bureau.

United States | 29 August 2022Beware so-clean 3 is a rip off. It forces you to buy a new filter every 6 months at $30.00 each. This is even if you are inactive with the system such as at a second home. Oh yeah it only has a 30 day return policy so you can not find out about the rip-off until 6 mos later. Save your money.

United States | 22 June 2022I called an ordered the "new" adapter for a So Clean machine that now only cleans the hose and mask!! Called today as they only shipped the filter kit!! I was told it is on backorder, and will be shipping tomorrow. They asked if I would take the survey and I said "Yes", you know they weren't going to call me back for the survey!!!

United States | 08 May 2022I have been using my SoClean for several years and it seems to have reduced the early morning head aches that I had been experiencing prior to it's use. Recently the seal on the water chamber started making a noise and it became hard to get a good seal on the chamber to eliminate the noise so it was time anyway to order a new cpap machine. When Baycare Homecare delivered my new machine they advised against using the SoClean because it causes the internal seals to wear out sooner than the should. Now I am confused as to weather or not to use the device because it seems to have worked well for me in the past. I think I will try it without the SoClean for a while and see how it go's.

United States | 18 April 2022I don't know how anyone can use this! The smell it leaves behind in the mask and hose cannot be good for you! Horrible. To see all the positive reviews makes me really wonder if this ratings really is honest. There is NO WAY a person can use this machine and not complain about the smell. DO NOT buy this for your own health!

United States | 26 March 2022I purchased a SoClean 2 in October 2020. I received the machine, and it worked as described. However, several months after receiving the machine I was notified by the company that supplies my Philips CPAP machine that it had been recalled and if I use a SoClean machine to cease using it because it could be damaging my CPAP machine. I did receive a new CPAP machine, now a ResMed and they also indicated that use of the SoClean would void the warranty. I have been trying to get a refund for my machine. When I emailed SoClean customer service they did not respond. I have been trying to file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau. They have been working with SoClean, but SoClean does not stand behind their product. They simply state that they are suing Philips. If you are considering SoClean make sure to check with your CPAP company to make sure that they approve use.

United States | 13 March 2022Wow, I am surprised reading the negative comments here. I have had 2 so clean machines now for a few years and absolutely love them. Today I just ordered the so clean 3 machine to replace my oldest one. Ordering was simple and so easy. I have never had to contact customer service for any reason so hopefully all will go well in that aspect.

United States | 24 February 2022The SoClean machine I have no longer starts because of a toggle clip on the entry hole for the hose not working. When calling he company I hoped for them to help make this an easy fix by providing an improved clip (maybe a .50 part). This was not the case as they required all kinds of info to ensure my machine was still under warranty. I’d rather do business with a company that stands behind their products no matter what, in the future, and would spend my approximately $400 elsewhere!

United States | 14 January 2022Just watched a couple SoClean commercials that state you don't have to wash your cpap equipment if you use their product. After having terrible sinus problems for quite some time I quite using the SoClean & my sinus problems went away. I contact SoClean and am told that I still need to hand wash my equipment. Seems to me that the commercials are totally misleading if not a down right lie.

United States | 13 December 2021CPAP manufacturers tell us the SoClean speeds up the deterioration of the foam that causes toxic fume issues. So now we can't use the CPAP devices and are told that we should never use the SoClean type cleaning devices. I am very disappointed that SoClean has not reached out to its' customers to provide any information at all. Basically, the cleaning device is a big white expensive paperweight.
