Horrible Experience with First American Home Warranty - Terrible Service and Communication I’ve been dealing with First American Home Warranty for over a month and a half, and I am extremely frustrated with the service. I have two broken ceiling fans—one won’t turn off and the other won’t turn on. Initially, an electrician came out, agreed that the fans needed replacing, but then claimed they were broken before I purchased the home, so my claim was denied. After a lengthy call and insisting on reopening the claim, they sent another electrician who also confirmed both fans needed replacing. The worst part is the ongoing communication nightmare. The electrician sent out to replace the fans is unable to provide a cost for the replacements, so First American can’t approve the replacement. I even took the initiative to set up a three-way call with First American and the electrician to try to get this resolved, but First American pretended they couldn’t hear us and hung up the phone call. It’s been over a month and a half, and neither of my ceiling fans has been replaced. They now show only one fan on the work order and we’re no further along than we were at day one. The lack of customer service and accountability is appalling. I will not be renewing my contract with them and would highly advise against using their service.

I’m reaching out to express my frustration with the lack of a way to contact a live agent. The AI voice system consistently repeats the same two or three questions, and when I try to speak with a representative, the recording simply states that there’s a higher-than-usual call volume. This cycle continues endlessly, sometimes for over an hour, without any resolution. As a customer, it’s incredibly disheartening to feel stuck in a system that doesn’t provide real support. I hope this feedback can help improve the customer experience moving forward.

This time I'm truly not happy with First American Home Warrenty. I've had them for MANY years and never been this dissatisfied. In August I reached out to them because my ice maker wasn't producing ice. They scheduled an appt with ER APPLIANCE REPAIR LLC. They came out August 29, 2024. Advised the ice maker needed a part. Sept 3, 2024 tech returned and said it would be 24 hours before we would have ice. NO ICE. Sept 5, they said they needed to order another part. Said part would be in three to four days. No part. Called first american back to advise no part. Tech didn't come until 10-10. Still NO ICE. this continued until DEC. I was highly upset with first american because normal after the third time they would get another company. They didn't get another company until DEC 2, 2024. New company came and reset the machine and within HOURS we had ice. Truly disappointed in FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY and ER APPLIANCE REPAIR and PRIORTY MECHINICAL SERVICES. AA NOOR ENTERPRISES came I'm and saved the day.

So far pretty good. I wish I could have paid online when I filed claim, but it didn’t work and I had to call in. But calling in was easy. The workers arrived in a plain vehicle. I wish I had been aware that it wouldn’t be a company vehicle. But they were wearing company shirts. Other than that all was fine for our first service call.

I have never encountered a more dishonest and unethical company. Shortly after my policy went into effect, my pool pump stopped working. The first technician they sent claimed the issue was due to "secondary damage," implying that something we did caused the problem. This was completely baseless, as the pump was installed by a licensed professional, and all the equipment used was fully compatible. I disputed their decision, and they sent out a second technician. This tech confirmed there was no secondary damage and that the installation was correct. However, the company then changed its stance, denying the claim on the grounds of it being a "pre-existing condition." This is blatantly false. The pool equipment was functioning perfectly on the day my service contract started. It's obvious this company operates as a scam, taking people's money while finding any excuse not to honor claims. To add insult to injury, I was charged $100 just to have the technician come out and confirm my claim, despite their refusal to cover the repair. Avoid this company at all costs. They are nothing but crooks exploiting their customers under the guise of providing coverage. Save yourself the frustration and find a reputable provider instead. I will be reporting them to the BBB and Consumer Affairs

People doing repair on Refrigerator (14 yrs old) are great. Has refrigerant leak. Today will be the third time out. First American Home Warranty could not give me a cash out number within 5 days. Have been without a refer since dec 9th. Received this email on the 18th. (been without a refrigerator for 9 days now) " Hello William Luther: We are reviewing the findings from the contractor that diagnosed your problem at 41164 W Robbins Dr, Maricopa, AZ 85138. Please allow up to three business days for us to review the details and provide you with an update." WAIT THREE MORE DAYS? Going 12 days or more without a refer is NOT AN OPTION. New one purchased and delivered from Costco. Insurance was a waste of time and money. Will self insure in the future.

Company unable to fulfill my contract needs, no contractors to take my claim available. I called on 12/12/35 because no heat in my home, temperature outside 12 degrees the One and Only contractor called and told me he can come out on 12/20/24. Not acceptable! FAHW charges $125 to initiate service call. When I canceled I was told it would be refunded in 3-5 business days. The next day I called again 12/13 it was 10 degrees outside, I was told I had to pay another $125 and a contractor should respond back to me in 24 hrs because they sent messages to Emergency department! Never happened. On 12/15 no response from FAHW or contractor so I called again, FAHW said all they could do is offer me a. $50 gift card to buy a KEROSENE heater!! Absolutely Not! So while I’m at work and my grandson and dog are at home my house catches a fire then I would have to contact my Home owners Insurance to fix the damages? NO! Now 4 days later, they tell me to hire my own contractor and they will reimburse me? WITH WHAT MONEY? They have now $250 of my refund money in a 3-5 day refund status!! I am Canceling my contract with FAHW on Monday and finding a reliable warranty company with real on the job contractors!!

Homewarranty firstam not have proper technician, taking the monthly premium and also charging the service fee and do not provide the service . This is regarding the Service request 620684341. I would like to kindly request to assign this to other contractor company. The contractor (brass plumbing) who came to house didn’t go under crawl space and didn’t check the water pressure regulator and also he didn’t have any meter to check the water pressure for psi. Technician told me to call the water company. I called the water co and they checked everything . Water company told me There is no leak and there is no problem with meter box. It was just rain water sitting on the outside of the box. Water company checked the pressure and it is reported as 35 psi which is low. 35 psi is very low and they said water pressure needs to be at 60 or 65 psi for the size of house and floors. picture was taken from water company’s meter which clearly shows 35 psi. I am asking firstam to send the professional from other company and resolve this issue asap. Send the technician who has the proper tools and licensed experience technician.

Worst insurance company. They will push all the blame to contractors and when you talk to contractors they will push the blame to the company. It’s a never ending loop which leaves the customers frustrated and Feeling scammed. Never opt for first American and cancel your subscription
