Very strong lock and well made. The weight is not too bad. It was expensive to buy and import into Canada (an extra $100 or so import fee) but if it works and keeps my bike from getting swiped, it's worth it. The only things I'd change if I could is make the rubber coating optional (the lock is too thick to fit in the gap that's the most secure location on my folding ebike) and to have a longer version. I bring my Abus U lock with me unless I know I'll be able to use this size of lock and it won't be too short. That makes for a heavy ride.

They kept me informed via email on any delays. They shipped it out at a reasonably quick time as the item was a pre-order.

Pre ordered a D1000 lock. It arrived the next month as quoted. Fits easily in my top box and isn’t too heavy.

I ordered the D1000, which is quite difficult to order and get one. I'm one of the lucky ones. The D1000 lock is of perfect quality, maybe a little heavy. But hey - it's realy safe. The order process and in time delivery was quite satisfying.

The D1000 is a great product. Plus, Hiplok's customer service is excellent.

Not received, zero notification, that it was posted & non that parceforce had returned it. Nothing from Parceforce, either.

Used hiplock on trip ti spain from uk and so far no problems

Delivered on time as expected. My only reservation about this lock is that it is small for use with an eBike. My Riese & Müller bike is worth over €10,000 so if happily spend twice as much and buy two larger larger D1000 type locks to keep my ebike free from an angle grinder attack. The current lock, for my needs, needs to be coupled with a hiplok chain which weakens the security value of the D1000 lock. To be honest I currently use it in combination with an Abus alarm lock and never leave my bike outside my sight when out and about. The latter two lock I suspect will be an adequate deterrent for where I live. There’s an opportunity for some clever manufacturer to make a virtually impenetrable D lock specifically for e-bikes. (Hint hint 😉).

Awesome lock gives me proper peice of mind. My only wish is the shackle space to be just a few inches longer, but I make it work.

you made the process easy and simple, i also appreciate the amount of information that has been on the old interweb lol as i am old tooooo :) it is pricy for a lock but an exceptional value to me keeping my bikes we had one of our bikes stolen between the time we purchased the lock to the time it arrived unfortunately but feel secure now :)

Thanks Hiplock. I like the u-lock, reasonable weight and fluid key motion when unlocking. No one has attempted to steal my bike yet, so I haven’t seen it’s resilience. I purchased it due to it’s anti-grinder properties. What it has done is given me confidence and piece of mind that my bike remains safe. I’m happy I made your purchase.

This lock is great...it is strong and portable...really great I will recommend this to my friends.

we are in Canada and duties should be mentioned. We paid $166 to get the lock. I appreciate that delivery was free but it is still expensive to get the lock so this was a bit of surprise. Also, the lock should be a bit wider, I can only lock the frame of my bike to the rack but not the rear tires. The back tire is where are all the gears so the replacement would be expensive. It would be nice to be able to lock the back tire and the frame to the bike rack
