United Kingdom | 13 May 2024I ordered an urn for the passing of my Dad, received the urn all packaged lovely and fast delivery. However, I just didn’t like the urn I chose and wanted to return it. I have been chasing a returns address in the UK as that’s what they replied back with to wait until they get a returns address in the UK as it then would be easier for me. That’s the reason for the one star, as I am 2 months down the line £180 down, waiting an email for a return address. Awful service, something I don’t want to be chasing!

United Kingdom | 11 May 2024I have been waiting for over a month for an urn. I have tried to contact the company multiple times and get no response to my emails. Also their phone lines are off! Considering the nature of the business being a sensitive matter, this is absolutely disgusting when somebody is grieving and waiting to transfer a loved one’s ashes. I will be requesting a full refund and using a nicer, more credible company.

United Kingdom | 10 May 2024A few years ago i purchased a black heart shaped urn from this company and was pleased with the quality. When I sadly needed to purchase another, I went on this company’s website but was a bit put off by the price so I initially ordered a black heart shaped urn from Amazon which was cheaper at £46. The urn that arrived was well made but was pewter in colour with a tacky gold coloured screw for placing the ashes so I returned it to Amazon, hassle free and got a refund (the box it came in described it as ‘BLK Pewter’). Against my better judgement (as I now realise) I decided to fork out the extra money and use Urns UK thinking I’d get the ‘right thing’. I went back on their website and ordered a black heart shaped urn. It is described as black and the pictures show it to be black with a silver screw on the base. What turned up was … a pewter urn with a tacky gold coloured screw! It was identical to the one I’d ordered from Amazon and the box it came in described it as ‘BLK Pewter’. Despite the company name, the packaging was covered in customs labels and the invoicing showed that it had been dispatched from France. When I telephoned the office to report I had been sent the wrong item I also spoke to somebody in France. I was asked to email pictures of the item received and was asked to do this quickly as they were not ‘around in the afternoon or available the following week’. So I promptly did as requested. I got a reply saying that the person who deals with returns is in holiday for a week but would deal with this on their return. I had to chase when over a week had passed but did get a further response which was quite badly written and didn’t much make sense. It said (quote) “I understand your disappointment with that article we promote as black. Our supplier change the colour for a black pewter one. We updated our website few years ago, and that is the colour you saw when you placed your order. As our product are handcrafted, they can never be exactly the same, especially concerning the taint : the shade slightly change from an article to another one. This is what make the product unique. Thank you for your understanding”. I don’t want a unique product. I want the one advertised. They haven’t ‘got my understanding’. They have misrepresented the item, to their own admission, and therefore have mis sold it. I have asked for a refund but they have not responded to my email, though having read other reviews I can see that returns need to go to France at a cost. With ‘urns uk’ as a company name, I genuinely believed I was dealing with a uk based company. Their website gives a ‘UK office’ address but says I now note it says the office cannot accept returns’. I also note they are ‘in the process of relocating to the uk’. I have since looked on Amazon and notice that the urn Amazon sell is supplied by Urns UK. It’s just much cheaper, possibly because you are not paying the duty? So instead of having an Urn to fondly remember my beloved pet, i am stuck with an urn that I don’t want that makes me angry just looking at it. I feel stupid for not making the association that Amazon, as a market place, are just selling the same product. The loss of a pet is a stressful and upsetting process and I am disgusted at the way this company operates. As such I am loathe to support anything by Urns UK. But if you are thinking of ordering a heart shaped urn , I’d shop through Amazon as you’ll at least get it cheaper, more quickly and hassle free if you need to return it. But don’t expect to receive a heart shaped urn in black!

United Kingdom | 03 May 2024We waited 10 days to receive the pet urn due to the fact it was shipped from Europe. Nowhere does it say on the website this could be a possibility. We were expecting 2-3 days delivery. Thankfully the pet crematorium were very understanding and kept our pets ashes until it arrived. We wanted him home sooner, it’s been a distressing experience losing him unexpectedly never mind having the added wait for his urn.
