New to Hipages. It really impressed me by the speed to get connected with tradies. I posted few jobs and got instant reply within hours. I hired one for one of the jobs and the other jobs are in process, likely to hire soon. I look forward to see the result in couple of weeks after the first job done. So far so good!

The best part was the prompt response from insulation tradesmen and painters. Those that turned up to quote then provided a written quote just as promptly. Unfortunately, i have not heard from any handymen but i will give it some more time.

Hired an absolute idiot through these guys, floor sander that ruined my floor. Toothless to get a refund to fix the mess and then to boot they do not publish bad reviews only favourable ones. Be very wary of who they host, minimal screening despite their claim to do so.

Several years ago we used Hipages to find someone to have a look at a suspected roof truss problem. Jon from JRN Carpentry came out, on time, and spent some time looking around but could find no problems and did not request a payment. When we had a recent problem with the glue holding our plaster ceilings throughout our 15 yo home failing, we tried a number of plasters recommended to us by various people but they either didn't respond, or were not taking new jobs. We then thought of Jon and again he was on time, spent time looking at the problem and promptly quoted the areas we knew about from the insurance loss assessor. (Not claimable). He was quickly able to fit our job in and on arrival we decided to have him check the rest of the house as I had done a quick check and was worried about a few additional areas. You guessed it more problems but a quote was worked out on the spot and work commenced. Jon and his painter Robert couldn't have been more cooperative. They attended to every question promptly and curtiously and took care to cover our furniture and floors. Dust was kept to a minimum and the site was tidied up each day. Both John and Robert were not satisfied unless we were satisfied with the work. I highly recommend Jon as he can attend to many different types of work himself and organise other trades required, which includes Robert the painter. In these times tradies are hard to find and you have to pay. In this case we paid for a good job and are highly satisfied. .

They use unlicensed tradies and dont care. I complained about dodgy work that was over 6k and showed them receipts, they told me that they can't take action unless I go to fair trading and wait for the outcome

After making numerous calls and get few call backs I tried Hipages and the response was amazing, within three minutes of posting I had three calls from tradesmen, in the next three hours another three. I only arranged appointments with. Four in total and they were punctual, professional and I have signed with one of them, all within three days of posting.

Warning to Tradies looking to sign up My husband, a carpenter, signed up for Hi Pages to find job opportunities. Initially, he was under the impression that he was entering a 6-month introductory term. However, after receiving a call from a Hi Pages representative suggesting an upgrade to the next tier, he was automatically moved to a 12-month contract without clear notification. This change occurred just one month into his 6-month introductory term. He should've still been able to see out his 6 month introductory term. To avoid any misunderstandings, make sure to confirm whether you are committing to a 6-month or 12-month term, especially if Hi Pages contacts you about upgrading your subscription for more credits. Be aware that the upgrade might also include a 12-month contract commitment. This experience has highlighted a lack of transparency in their process. Consider the potential long-term commitment before signing up, especially if you might find your own jobs or secure other employment, as cancelling the Hi Pages subscription mid-term can be costly. They should look at adopting a rolling contract model which could greatly enhance user satisfaction and flexibility.

Great customer service when required

I placed the ad for services required and within the hour I had been contacted by 3 providers that could fulfil the job.

After committing to an agreement for shed errection, I agreed and made an 80% deposit. Being 4k. After much delay and no shed up due to exaggerated ground works and other jobs booked by the contractor. Excuse After Excuse for delayed commencement of shed erection, there is and has been a communication breakdown. I kept requesting running costs only to receive invoices for double the original quote and exaggerated ground work costs and poor outcomes. Just so very disappointed . I would not recommend this contractor unfortunately.

ZERO STAR - SCAM APP (STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP) I ve got leaked. My datas and receiving Unknown or fraud call everyday. Poor customer service i would say zero service. No follow up , fake leads, wasting time and money.

Tradespeople know this , Hi pages is definitely set up to favour certain groups .There system of being one of the first 3 to accept a job lead is a joke . I've been on my phone ,computer ,and a lead has come across the screen I've hit accept could not be any quicker and it says are you ready for this lead!! I accept and it says ,Sorry this lead has been accepted ! would you like to join waitlist. I could not be humanly faster so what is the point. This happens on a certain type of work all the time now. it seems other work it hasn't been too bad . However if i can't be humanly any faster on the jobs I want then what is the point . Just know this if you use hi pages trade people certain work will go to certain groups and you cannot do anything about it .

Had 4 responses, one actually rang and said he’d be in touch today, nothing. 4 companies that jump at the opportunity of work by replying instantly, then don’t get back to give you a quote. Not impressed

We have periodically used Hi Pages for various trades over a number of years. The trades we have chosen have provided the service on time and on price, We always rate higher the trades with more reviews from previous clients as it tends to lessen risk.
