Mexico | 03 May 2024We have a family plan and lost track of which user 'owned' the organization. Turns out we were not paying attention to the nine dots in the top right corner so weren't switching to the admin console and could not figure out who owned the orgainzation. Help was kind and complete in making sure there was nothing else causing a problem.

Canada | 02 May 2024I have been a long time BW user. Like many others, I also entrust my most critical entries, codes, backup keys, credit cards to Bitwarden, keys to medical and financial files. I found Bitwarden some years ago, and I was unemployed at that time. I was applying jobs and trying to subscribe sites related to jobs I was trying to get. A sudden need emerged to manage too many passwords and usernames and which also opened my eyes, realizing that I wasn't taking care of my more important passwords at all. I saw that Bitwarden was free (it still is) and opened an account right away. As soon as I got a job I started to pay for premium which was 10 bucks back then (it still is!). Customer service is always prompt, courteous, kind and very knowledgeable. It is really very important that the company you entrust the access of your entire life know (and they do) what they are doing when you most need them. Thank you

United Kingdom | 23 April 2024Long time user of Lastpass & was pretty happy with it but wanted to add a fingerprint reader into the mix to ease access to Windows as well as Lastpass. Adding the reader to Windows was simplicity itself. Getting Lastpass to accept it proved absolutely impossible!! SO I tried Bitwarden.... Very easy to create the account; it immediately was happy to accept fingerprints as well as Yubikeys and the export/import process of many hundreds of passwords etc into Bitwarden from Lastpass was accomplished in minutes, literally. Am now up & running on Bitwarden and can't fault it. In some ways it may not feel quite as slick on auto-filling passwords and usernames on websites but overall I find I prefer the way it works. Very impressed with it. Am now a Premium account holder with Bitwarden and will not be renewing my Lastpass account.

Netherlands | 13 April 2024Extremely bad user experience after newest update requiring previously unassigned items to be assigned. It looks like bitwarden is majorly pushing towards becoming an enterprise application and wishes to move away from serving consumers.

Isle of Man | 10 March 2024Found the software difficult to use and ultimately pointless so decided to cancel a paid version. Now, funnily enough, Captcha doesn’t work, my master password comes up as incorrect and it keeps kicking me out making it impossible to cancel and today they take payment. Isn’t it interesting how much more difficult it is to cancel than to start a subscription with these companies!!

Spain | 19 December 2023I recently encountered a significant issue with Bitwarden's password export feature, resulting in the loss of 170 passwords. The problem arose when I followed Bitwarden's encryption suggestion in their help documentation for exporting passwords in JSON format. My strong recommendation to all Bitwarden users is to avoid Bitwarden encrypt password exports. If you find yourself needing to export your passwords, it is crucial to take additional steps to ensure safety passwords export. Instead of relying solely on Bitwarden's built-in encryption during the export process, I strongly advise exporting your passwords and subsequently encrypting them with a trusted third-party tool that you have control over. By doing so, you mitigate the risk of encountering the same unfortunate situation I found myself in.

Belgium | 17 December 2023I started using it after migrating from LastPass. The experience for me is simple and great and never had any issues with it. After using the free version for so long by multiple devices and a lot of passwords, I decided that this company deserves my money and I could also use some premium features like TOTP and emergency access from contacts. 10$ a year is less that 1$ per month and it totally deserves it. Using the TOTP is seamless and convenient. I totally recommend it.

United Kingdom | 30 November 2023The best password manager there is, $10 for 2FA a year is well worth it, all in all great service.

Kyrgyzstan | 13 November 2023A year ago Bitwarden rolled out an update that made their desktop client unusable on Windows 7 machines. While one may argue this is a rather old setup, to instantaneously, without a warning, deny users access to their password is a poor business practice. A solution was shortly found - to use an older version of Bitwarden Portable. It worked fine for over a year, until today I discovered that their firewall blacklisted my IP address thus locking me out. This is just outrageous and undermines trust in the product. Paying customers must not be treated like that. I don't even know what to add here.

United Kingdom | 02 October 2023Was using LastPass Premium and sharing some passwords with family members but abandoned them due to their security failures. Changed to Bitwarden and after some testing, paid for Families 9 months ago with the intention of again sharing passwords with family members but it is too complicated to set up and I am confused between vaults, collections, and organisations. I have also seen it do things I think it shouldn't have done such as giving my wife access to my entire password vault before I had confirmed her (and I was only trying to give her access to a subset of my passwords anyway). The free version for a single user may be ok, as may enterprise use - which it seems to have a lot of features for which just confuse me.

United States | 06 September 2023I reached out to their sales team numerous times. The first time I received a response asking how many users were in my company. When I told them 23 they stopped replying. I was looking to switch us over from LastPass and it was evident that we weren't a large enough client for them to even get a response. We then contacted a competitor, received a reply within two hours, and had three calls with them to answer our questions and help us transition over. Beyond disappointed by their treatment.
